Smashing Dean - stolen low key evenings midweek sometimes make the most relaxing camps eh? Felt your 'work in a bit' pain in the morning though. But weirdly that yang makes the ying more special somehow, hard as it is at the time. Cheers.

Oh wow. I felt so calm watching this!!! Bivvying is something I've wanted to try for a long time but I have no friends that are adventurous enough 🤔 I think I might go solo, as after watching this video it looks too peaceful to miss out on. 🥰 If you can recommend any spots then that would be much appreciated. I live in Derby so anywhere Derbyshire will be great. I'm a complete a newbie!!!!!

Hi Amy, thanks for watching. Bivvying is amazing, it's my preferred method of camping as you feel close to nature. I'd say go for it and head off for an adventure even if it is solo. I really enjoy solo camps and having the time to sit and reflect. I don't recommend location anymore sadly (got in trouble in the past) but I'd suggest getting an Ordinance Survey Map and searching for somewhere away from buildings and roads where you can be out of sight, at the top of a hill somewhere or down by a river. I hope you have a great time and give me a shout if you have any more questions👍

Oddly, a guy I work with randomly asked me about bivvying today despite me never mentioning it to him! I may have found a bivvy buddy! :) I'm definitely not against solo trips too though :) x

brilliant video Dean, loved that evening sky bit. some songs that would be perfect for your night would have been Nick Drake`s "River Man" and "Northern Sky" , plus The Jam`s "Tales From The Riverbank"

I'm way behind, this video is out of sequence because I didn't think I'd got much footage until I loaded it all into the editor. It was a great night though. I've probably got about 5-6 videos to edit now, some from a while ago like Edale 2019 😁

@@DeanRead Theres no excuse for it pure disrespect and laziness even around here in the streets it gets me when i see people do it its the kind of people what think the world owes them instead of giving to the world when i go into the local hills i put things like my cans in my poket and keep going cant have the animals standing on them ops bit of a rant there 😄
