Guys. To explain derealization as someone who experiences it daily (and its getting worse due to new medication) its being a spectator in your own body. Sometimes you tunnel vision but cab still fully see. The tunnel vision being entirely mental and almost a feeling like your in a dark room watching it happen rather than experiencing whats going on. Typically when its bad reality becomes warped. Proportions of objects will seem off even if they arent, typically theres hallucinations, as the term "derealization" goes a lot of the time you feel disconnected from reality like you arent real and shouldnt exist or like your misplaced in this universe and dont belong. Typically your vision will also go almost cartoonish and the world will seem plasticy or dreamlike. It will look almost animated and unrealistic, something about it is just off. So slightly not right that you know its wrong but its like an uncomfortable itch that you cant reach because it physically looks normal but mentally it feels wrong. Everything about it is mental but the way you process and feel makes it almost seem like the physical world your interacting with is wrong. Recently alongside everything i mentioned ive been getting very confused, ill lose memory or forget how i got somewhere or what im doing/why, my body is in almost constant discomfort no matter what i do. Theres always something off and i dont know what its almost like theres a mental disconnect with my nerves, i can physically feel but its just not right. I literally cant explain it as i dont even know what it is myself but its just wrong and its at a point where when it gets bad id almost rather rip out my nerves than feel it because theres something wrong with how everything feels. Theres a lot of feelings ive gotten and that have gotten worse recently that i cannot place or explain but its so uncomfortable because it feels so wrong that i quite literally wanna crawl out of my skin

This strangely captures my experiences with derealization very well. It nails the floaty, washed out feeling and the kinetic elements simulate what it's like to feel like the world is zooming passed you. The wireframe in particular is brilliant, because it gives you the impression of what's supposed to be there but the lack of textures makes it feel ungrounded and abstract.

I think you guys might not really understand derealization; it's hard to explain because it feels like you're not fully in control of your body. It's like talking to someone and watching yourself do it, then suddenly losing your memory because you weren't mentally present. It's like all your memories have vanished, as if you didn't exist before today. It's like being trapped in a cell in your own head; the visual perspective doesn't change much, similar to a quake pro vision in minecraft ; Colors lose their vibrancy, and noises become overwhelmingly loud. It's like being stuck in a nightmare every time you open your eyes.
