Ickx had a lot of bad luck in F1. He should have been WC once at least and maybe twice.

Ickx had a shot at winning the 1969 F1 season for the Brabham team had he been afforded the first-rate quality pieces for his car that Jack used for his ride; where according to some sources of that era, after Jack Brabham was injured in that season, the better parts/equipment that Jack had for his car were transferred to Ickx's ride, which made Ickx more competitive with Stewart at mid-season.

@@bloqk16 Ickx also had a good shot in winning the 1970 F1 season, even before Rindt died at Monza. Ickx led the French GP, the Dutch GP and th British GP, before his ferrari broke down on all 3 occasions. All of these three races was then won by Rindt. But three possible wins from Ickx, would have given him 27 more points that Year. In the 72-season, he was probably the fastest driver. Again he led both the British and the Italian GP, before his Ferrari broke down again! And both races was then won by Fittipaldi, the later Champion that Year.

1974-1977 according to whom? You? What reasoning do you have for this?? They went for Regazzoni because Regazzoni was doing well. And Regazzoni was doing well because of Lauda setting up the BRM to run competitively. Regazzoni insisted on bringing Lauda along. If Enzo Ferrari had signed Regazzoni + Ickx instead, he wouldn't have won anything, because the only reason Ferrari was doing well in those years was Niki Lauda helping the engineers immensely in setting up the cars and making them fast, fast around corners, etc.
