This is not a "goodbye, MerDer" video. This is a "thank you" video, thank you to Patrick and Ellen for 10 incredible, amazing, magical years, 11 beautiful seasons of one of my most favorite couples, of my first ship.
You won't see any scenes from 11x21 here, because I choose to believe that nothing happened, that Derek is still alive and happy with Meredith. And I also don't want to start a huge rant about how awful the episode was.
I honestly cannot believe that this is the way MerDer ended, I am disappointed and devastated, but most of all I am so heartbroken, because these two deserved the happiest happy ending.
I quit watching grey's some time ago, but I never stopped loving MD, I will never stop loving them. There will always be a special place in my heart for them.
And maybe sometime in the future, I'll continue making MerDer videos.
Derek, Meredith and their love are legendary. And legends never die.

After he died, Meredith has never been that happy again, and that’s just a fact. And she is moving on, actually, she really did move on... she is inspiring for that, because Meredith knows that the carrousel never stops turning, you can’t get out. But that sparkle she had with McDreamy... that little light inside her eyes, that bright smile... she lost it, and there is no way of getting it back, because he is gone. But she should try to be happy, because she isn’t gone, she is still here. And I know that she will make sure to get the infinitely deserved and battled *happy ending* for her and Derek, like it was just meant to be since day 1.

I refused to watch videos of them because it hurt so much knowing that we can never see them again but something hit me that I wanted to go down memory lane and to the happy times so this video was perfect for it thank you. I still cried during the video because I'm so mad that they didn't get their happy end after everything they been through. You invest so many years and tears in a show and then this happen I just can't :((

I thought I was the only one who felt this way, like they were one of the only reasons I believed in love. They were my it couple and then out of nowhere Derek dies😭😭. I have never felt so much emotion watching a tv show😫😫

rainbow_walker64 If his death was the best ending in the eyes of the creators and writers they did it a way more special than I could have ever imagined or thought up myself. Their ending was better than so many/most finale episodes of other shows! IMHO

I miss MerDer so much. I miss the happy times and where they fought over the little things. I wish they would've ended the show with them old and worn and passing together. I could rant on how he died and how much better it could've happened but instead I am going to forget that Derrick ever died because I will pretend he never did. Not even going to get started ranting on season 13.....

"I am you knight in shining whatever" Oh my goodness that is one of my favorite quotes from the whole show and you used it in this awesome, perfect video! I've got the same mindset about 11x21 and I'm very glad you didn't use scenes from that despicable episode. This love story is seriously epic and no inter-personal show politics should get in the way of it being told :)

Thank you for this beautiful video! Its amazing and even though I still get sad when it comes to Merder this video made me smile because you captured so many little great moments and in my opinion it brought justice to their love story. Just like you I choose to stop watching GA in the beginning of season 11 because well first I am a little late to the party and knew what was going to happen and secondly because I choose to believe in their happy ending. Also after he left there were not any characters left that I thought I would have fun watching
