“I’m really picky with what I do. I can’t be away from my family.” Derek has been through a couple of relationships, promised them marriage as well but got married with Ellen in just a few months of being together and Is now semi-retired in showbiz because he can’t be away with his family. Indeed, the only thing that keeps a man, is a man that wants to be kept.

Yung upbringing mo tlga as a person really matters, if lumaki lang orphan or wlaang tatay, it manifests on how you raise your kids too, kahit anong gawin mo may ambag ang parents mo sayo, mapameron or wala. Super swerte ng mga taong may nanay at tatay na maayos

This Toni Talks episode is one of the best! It's all about being responsible and planning for a happy life, including settling down and raising kids. Derek is a great example of someone who's got it all figured out and you can see how happy he is just by looking into his eyes.

Derek is really a good man. When we had a medical mission for his birthday in his home at Palawan, he was not a celebrity. He even cleaned their pantry and sorted out things. Eat with us, and the family gave us superb accommodation in their beautiful rest house. Thank you for such experience.

My husband proposed to me when we we’re two weeks together. He was 33 and I was 23 but it’s true you will know if he or she is already the right one. Praise God we are celebrating our 14th year anniversary ❤ soon. God has always the right one for everyone.

Thanks Derek and Toni for having him. I relate a lot to Ellen and Derek. Coincidentally, my fiancé’s name is also Ellen and also a single mom but of three. Our relationship being BF/GF turned to engagement pretty quick. We are 20 years apart, I’m the younger one. I’m 30 she is 50. Being a Dad of three respectful and great kids only shows how great of a woman she is. She was an OFW for 20 years, just to raise her kids alone. Now, I live my life ensuring her that she has assurance and most definitely, no longer having another broken family and future marriage.

Derek has a point ,it’s really important to choose the right one , mahirap yung Malaki differences niyo ,magkaiba ng paniniwala,culture etc importante yung Hindi ka lang ready financially emotionally din .Are you ready enough to take care of someone, are you ready to sacrifice ? I agree with derek don't settle or have a family if you're not financially and emotionally stable. Sobrang hirap kung mag family ng maaga ang ending aasa ka parin sa magulang mo.

sa generation natin ngayon tama yung sinabi ni Derek na gawin mo muna lahat ng gusto mo until 30's or 40's bago ka mag settle sa buhay. which is totoo kasi kaya madaming broken family kasi kht hndi pa ready bumuo ng pamilya eh ginagawa nang mag pamilya na hndi pa kaya basta ikkasaya nyo lang. mas iniisip lang kasi natin yung ngayon hndi yung future natin.
