Hes a great storyteller, you can tell just by looking at him that hes a proper villain that's been there, done that. A big lump of a guy but he has the intelligence to make him even more dangerous. Definitely my favourite guest (I've seen him before on documentaries about Scottish crime, and he always makes a great interviewee)

@@WeeKev1910 well I wouldn't know the score on that front, but hes retired from that life now so wouldn't want to risk getting banged up again, plus hes not a young man anymore. If you are talking back in the day, then losing a couple of fights hardly makes you weak. My knowledge about the guy is pretty limited, but I'm definitely gonna read his book to hear about some of his exploits.

Also when he mentiones he read Harry potter to his kid in jail...theres a programme you could help promote Shaun its Prison Reading Group. It helps dads in prison connect with their kids over books and help boost their kids reading. Shaun get some more Irish, English Welsh and Scottish criminals on.

Good interview but the bit about Perry Wharrie really wound me up. They killed that innocent policeman in my home town. Remember it well when I was a kid. Can’t blame blink for talking about him but it goes to show that glamorising these turds is just wrong. Going to drop some flowers on Frank Mason’s memorial outside the bank tonight. He might have been a copper but he had a family.

I was in HMP Full Sutton with blink back in 95 think he was on B wing I was on F wing with Rab harper and me and blink use to meet up on the education block daily mainly just to get out of our cells and off the wings, and we were both on the cookery class where we were aloud to cook a meal and eat it at the end. I can tell you now the laughter we had was brilliant there were times we were both crying with laughter, blink is such a funny guy! It made our days pass quick that’s for sure. his book is a brilliant read to. Cheers ian blink macdonald, it was a pleasure to meet you.👍

@@johnmckee7640 No. He was barred out by the management. He understood that wasn't any of the door staff decision though and was respectful of it. He had a link to a lady who worked inside the club though hence why he was there so much. Speak as you find though and I found him to be a very genuine guy.

I can tell you 2 guests that have one hell of a tale to hear, Thomas Campbell and Joe Steele. They were put away for 20 years after being falsely convicted (a proper fit up too!) of killing 6 people in a fire. It's a horrendous, scary tale that will blow you and all your viewers away. The whole story is a sad waste of so many lives.
