Extra points : (1) Always apply SUNSCREEN during the day. Always! It's important to double protect your skin from burning due ro using retinol while at night. Like Dr Jenny said, apply antioxidant serum to double up protection. (2) Do NOT panicking when skin purging occurs. Back to basics skin routine (cleanse > moisturize > sunscreen). It's normal for retinol beginners to experience & experiment with skin purging at first. Remember that, retinol uglies you first, but after that it beautifying your skin much better after purging phase goes away! (3) Do EXFOLIATE regularly. Retinol makes your skin cells turn over quite fast. So you need to exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week to clear away dead skin cells. (4) Be kind to your skin. As mentioned in (1), use different kind of active ingredients when (e.g using antioxidant / hydrating serum with retinol moisturizer). For beginners, do not use retinol all at once! Choose between retinol serum or retinol moisturizer at first. After your skin acclimated to one, then add another. As for me then, I chose night moisturizer first, then 2 months added the serum after. Take it slow babe! (5) Trust the process. Enjoy the process. Win the process. I've been using the Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 w/Peptide since last year and I love the results. I use it every night after cleansing my face and my skin is much smoother and hardly any fine lines but that may be my asian genetics too. I'm 54 years old and I do my daily skin care with other products as well. I do like the Olay products.

I use to think I couldn't afford tretinoin but I get the script from my regular Dr and I use a goodrx discount card at cvs and get it for around $46. Some of these drug store retinols are close to this price so I made the switch. I'll never look back.

I used these products and I had a bad experience with it . Effected my eyes brows , my hair started shedding really bad , dull brittle. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone.
