Such a talented man. The name in the net was planted and made to look like the audience wrote it. The man obviously never guided his arms or told him anything. Was always going to be elvis. But excellent showmanship and storytelling.

The trick was done at 1:34 of the video when he flips the net up in the air which released the papers with Elvis written on them, and opened the side of the net with all the papers that had the name Elvis Presley on them and closed the net to the others from the audience. You can buy variations of these "magic bags" at any magicians store in the world. Then on the canvass Elvis' face was already very lightly drawn onto it, but the audience can't see that but he could being so close. so basically he just had to paint in the lines. Very cool trick, and you also notice that the smiley face that he painted with the guy supposedly directing his arm had nothing to do with the actual painting. he painted over that. He just had to keep that inside the lines of where a solid area of paint had to be. Just a sure fire trick with no way of being able to mess it up.

For real. How tf do you learn to paint someone upside down. I mean, I guess... thinking about it, in theory, it's similar to painting anything, it just psychologically seems more difficult, but, still... WOW. And that's just the act itself, never mind the prediction.

1:34 right? nice catch! I wonder if that triggers a mechanism?
@Joxman2k5 жыл бұрын
Ya I saw and thought about that. that is the only time it could have happened I think. I thought he might have released a cable and a spring tensioned half moon ring would open another bag with the predictions. That is possible. A bamboo pole seems an odd prop. An easier idea is that it is weight and magnet driven. A simple bag with a ball bearing falls when lifted and secured with a magnet in the handle, hiding the real predictions and revealing the forced one. The force predictions needed to be secured in the loop somehow. OR the double bag was opened with a simple string and weight in the handle. OR Deren is a WITCH!

This one relies rather heavily on the old "showmanship". Derren's an excellent portrait painter and obviously spent time devising some way to incorporate it into the show. But it was always going to be Elvis. Anthony is completely irrelevant to the outcome. The way he did it rhymes with caper twitch.
@eakmadashma5 жыл бұрын
What the fuck. People must have been influenced into writing down Elvis. I have no idea how he managed to paint that tho, I didn’t think he was great at art
