daconverse His season was "average" for a couple reasons though bro: 1. In the beginning of the season he had double vision, (let any of us try to play through that. 2. He basically was in friendly competition with Butler, (provoked by the media) of whose the Bulls go-to player. 3. His season was average yes, but comparing him to his MVP form! The eye test proves he's still got it man. He hasn't lost anything, he's gifted, he just wasn't comfortable and out of rhythm. He'll be alright this year. He's on proving grounds this year.

For real! The last half of the season Rose was in attack mode and he was balling. I think he was getting like 20 something points per games in only 30 minutes. He was also shooting over 50% from the floor and 45% from 3 (he wasn't a good shooter, he only stopped taking 3s and only took the open ones and sometimes not even then like in some of the highlights in this video). He's still as fast and as strong as ever. His only problem is his lateral quickness and is more of a mental hurdle than a physical one. If he doesn't get another freakish injury next season, he's bound to go back to an efficient 20+ points per game and 5 or so assists.

I'm a loyal bulls fan and lived in chitown from 94 to 2013. Overall he is still an above average point guard. Being young I believe he can bounce back. He was about 70% last year of what he was in 2011. Check all the highlights. Year to year.

I once said.. "ROSE IS ONE INJURY AWAY FROM LEARNING HOW TO PLAY BASKETBALL" He finally learning how to switch speeds and manage the game. He developed that midrange game and he knocking down glass shots of buckets.. He showing the ability to probe screens until he finds something he likes.. People don't give him enough credit.. He missed 16 games last year due to a orbital fracture from something incidental.... His legs held up. He would've played at least 75 games last year.

People are exaggerating when they say rose is trash now, please. The dude was still killing it in many aspects. Infact, the way rose played in his prime was very damaging, he was always pushing his body to the limit in every aspect - speed/agility/strenght, The dude for all we know could still decide to go very fast, just matured more and realizes how damaging playing at the level he used to can be to his body. Even in his current state he is still one of the fastest PGs in the NBA. Some people act like he had a trash season. Nah, if he doesn't get injured, the knicks are gonna be great next year. And especially fun to watch. Flashy moves doesn't win games - efficiency does.

Not really. Bruh is in his prime avrg 16ppg in his final contract year. He's been injury prone now for the last couple years & doesn't shoot a good enough percentage. I'd rather rebuild

these are highlights of rose from his worst season yet according to stats, cuz he averaged less than 10ppg due to double vision first half of season and averaged 22+ppg game 2nd half of season to bring his overall average to 16+ppg....so the rose going to knicks is rose averaging 22+ppg cuz his vision returned to normal and had no issues with his knee injuries last season, kid is only 27 years old and he is gonna come back and get mvp again and prove all ya haters wrong

Ase Blacc Yes my dude, a 22 year old was the youngest MVP ever in NBA history and the Bulls had the best record in the ENTIRE league with 62-20. Most 22 year olds in the NBA are either busts, role players, and rarely ever start off as superstars. Derrick was in his 3rd NBA season that MVP year.

u aint getting whiteside. Miami cares about him too much, plus why wouldn't he want to stay with the stacked team. Dwight could definitely be a possibility, but I feel like he is gonna want alot of shots. I want them to go to Rose first and give him a solid chance. Boogie would play great with Melo, but i think his contract still has two years. I don't like adding more time under melos belt, but big men feel short on hand in the nba rn. If Porzingus accelerates real fast then they might not need a super center

thecrue1011 i say you guys go for a lowbudget center first. Melo plays great at the 4 and lets see porzingod at the 5. It could be knicks' version of warriors death lineup, but its good to have a real center starting because you dont want to use the death lineup exclusively the whole match.

Rose won't be both an elite level distributor and scorer, but he can still do one of those two at a very high level. I think his body is back in the right spot, and once he finds his rhythm, he will be deadly for New York. I think he should focus more on being a scorer, and with the lack of a ball distributing PG, I think its a good idea to sign a guy like Rajon Rondo, then start Rose at the 2.

Derrick Rose is a very smart and elite player. Despite all he has had to overcome he is still destroying the elites on the court. In his pre-injury form, he was the most explosive guards and fastest player in the NBA. Knee ligaments are not thick. Many knee injuries occur every year. Derrick Rose had to carry the offensive load every game every year. He also played insane defense and was a highlight making machine...crossover, hop step, spin, dream shake, floater, stepback, athletic layup, dunk. Rose did it all! He started to be killer from 3s too, because that was his final weakness. So it makes since his knee ligaments would tear. Especially also considering how hard the Bulls practiced. 3 knee surgeries plus a busted eye and he had double vision all season. Not to mention headaches, dizziness, and etc! But he still comes back by adding a banker...smart player. He still destroyed all his opponents too. He avg like 15, 5, 4 with a messed up eye and was offensively unstoppable at times! Rose is fully healthy and gonna kill this season. He may not dunk as much which is a smart decision, but he is gonna create some insane highlights with this Knicks team!!!

He was getting that swagger back the 2nd half of the season I can't believe some people saying he's a mediocre pg. Homie can hoop and proved numerous times he can score against top pgs. Though they might not win the game.

TBH I gave D Rose a year or 2 to recover from the injuries he got but every year he got hurt up until last year he was healthy but still playing safe and now with that healthy season behind him, I think with the support of Melo he can get back on MVP level and I just hope he will be Healthy for years to come.

I mean if you compare these plays to 2011, you can see he's definitely still got his burst, it's consistency, he isnt as wreckless in style of play which hides how far he's come since the injury but this dude as he gets stronger an more confident can give the knicks some gas.
