That was probably one of the best individual performances in a college basketball game that I've ever seen

0:52 = HOLY SHIT! I remember this game, Tucson went crazy after the Arizona dunk fest that was the second half. If D Williams gets on a team that knows how to utilize him and his talent he has the potential to be a heavy impact player in the NBA.

@JRoze555 I'm glad you said that because I noticed that exact same thing, particularly in the legs. In this video he just does a short jump when he shoots, but now he jumps, hangs in the air a bit, and then shoots it on the way down. He also kind of does this scissor thing with his legs that just seems awkward. I think thats why he has some shots where he comes up way short and barely touches the front of the rim

@asdfjkc That's because someone out there in NBA-land is trying to change his shot. He doesn't shoot the same way anymore. I see him shoot now and now I know why he isn't racking up points. Whoever is messing with his shot is borderline criminal

Honest to GOD !!! I thought DW was gonna be a Superstars Superstar. Dude can fly, shoot, played defense and yeah was a Bigger Poetential to be than a "Proven" player, but thought his athleticism would carry him until he figured out the Pro Game. SMH was I wrong. Still was a mad man for the Wildcats Do !!!

He's killing it in Europe now. Not quick enough on D at the 3, undersized at the 4. Powerful and explosive athlete though and has a great motor on offense.

Muchos de estos jugadores no alcanzan su máximo potencial porque no adquieren la disciplina y los fundamentos que el básquet colegial les puede brindar. No lo digo a manera de crítica, cada individuo sabe cuál es su situación y se respetan sus desiciones.

it's not Adelman's fault, it's the roster we have. This team has alot of tweeners on it, and it's causing Derrick Williams minutes to be inconsistent. Is he a 3 or i he a 4? He's shown to be much more effective at the 4, but he's not gonna get to play there much because of Kevin Love. I think next year, once we've let Beasley go and hopefully don't play the god awful Wesley Johnson anymore, Derrick Williams will be able to grow at the 3 spot. He so far has shown an inability to get his shot off.
@asdfjkc12 жыл бұрын
.....when he drives to the basket. He needs to get alot of coaching in the off-season about driving to the rim because he's getting over 10% of all of his shots blocked, and the league average is around 5%. He has this weird eurostep move he does and it causes him to run out of moment by the time he jumps towards the hoop. He's very inconsistent and that's why his minutes are sporadic. He'll get much more consistent minutes next year.

crazy as you all think but i still believe the cavs made a wrong pick at no.1 overall. yeah kyrie irving became an allstar, but man if the cavs pick derrick williams and developed him and gave him all the opportunity to grow and become the player he can really be? man at 6'8" and strong upperbody with quickness, athleticism, and 3pt range, this dude can become just the level of kawhi lebron and melo, definitely better than kyrie irving right now.
