Seeing Brandy and Paolo Montalban back as Cinderella and Charming are 80% of why I'm really excited for this movie! The 20% is for the Queen of Hearts cause I've always loved seeing different adaptions of that character and while I think it's odd to have such a young actress play the mother of a teenager, I'm really looking forward to seeing how she's played out.

When this movie was first promoted, it did intrigue me. But, everyone was always saying how it would be a disgrace to the franchise especially since Cameron Boyce passed away. But, now that I’ve seen this trailer, I’m definitely excited for it. I love that they gave Red the same motive that Mal had in the first movie. In the first movie, Maleficent’s goal was to conquer all of Auradon and she tried to use her daughter, Mal, to give her the ability to do so. Now, the Queen of Hearts is doing the same thing with her daughter, Red. And, everyone bows down to her except Cinderella. The difference is that this time, they’re using time travel to stop the main villain, which could definitely have more serious, permanent consequences. And, in doing so, they discover that the Queen of Hearts used to be nice and only became a villain because of an even bigger villain. That’s the classic case of a good person turning bad because someone hurt them. I’m loving this plot already. RIP to Cameron Boyce, I’m sure he’s still very dearly missed, but I’m definitely here for this movie. Now, I gotta rewatch the other 3 first!

You did. She's the Queen of Hearts. From the trailer, looks like she'll be pretty good, but I guess we'll see. I think this is her acting debut but could be wrong, and she's done at least one song for it (the one at the end of the trailer was definitely her voice), wouldn't be surprised if there's more to come.

Bro I grew up on these movies and this one just is not the same. It feels like they just completely changed the plot of the entire movie franchise. They shouldn’t have made another movie. I was perfectly okay with where the last movie ended of. It’s just not the same without the original main characters. I miss when Disney created good movies and not just a bunch of pointless crap that literally had no reason to be made in the first place. Sorry if that seems harsh I just wanted to get my opinion across.

I do get it, however I'm super excited for this movie. It's definitely *not* the same as the first 3, but that's okay :) I don't think of it so much as another sequel, but just a whole new story set in Auradon. I love Auradon and the Isle, I'm glad to have another adventure there :DD All the same, my love goes out to the original cast. We love you, Cameron ❤

Aside from my other reservations about this, wasn’t Chad from the original trilogy Cinderella’s son? And it’s not like he could be a sibling that’s out of the picture, because he’s clearly white, while this Cinderella is black. I think this movie has some continuity issues.

Carlos's actor, Cameron Boyce, passed away in his sleep right after the third movie due to an epileptic seizure 😢💔 Dove, Sofia, and Booboo decided not to come back because they didn't feel like they could do it without Cameron :(

This looks terrible. Basic time travel movie with a hint of the first descendants movie being copy pasted with different characters. Also if the queen of hearts is as big of a threat as she appears to be, there’s no way realistically that Ben and Mal wouldn’t be involved in this.
