I loved descendants before , and was honestly curious how 4 would look. Judging by trailer, they are going with essentially a new cast, smart move since Cameron is no longer here

So a couple of things that you have mistaken in the video: Chloe is Chad's younger sister. Not a niece. They do not go back in time to stop the coup & go back too far. They go back in time to stop Bridget's path to being evil. Also, the Queen of Hearts was one of the occupants on the Isle of The Lost as she owned a hair salon on the isle. I do wonder why the fairy godmother told Uma no at first. My opinion is that the Queen of Hearts was imprisoned on the island at one point, but was sent to Wonderland because she had to rule the kingdom or pretended to "redeem" herself. She was banished & a barrier to Auradon was placed preventing her from returning unless invited back. I think that while Red & Chloe may think that Uliana is the reason for Bridget turning evil, but it is Cinderella that Bridget blames & Cinderella may of had some involvement. Perhaps Bridget & King Charming were once a love interest that Uliana started to meddle in like how Uma tried meddling with Mal & Ben. We can see this when the Queen of Hearts shatters the glass slipper in front of King Charming. I do hope there is some more involvement with Maleficent. One thing I hate is that Maleficent is suppose to be the mistress of all evil, but becomes more of a "sidekick" for villains like Uliana. Like, come on, Descendants 1 said Maleficent was the most feared villain in the whole land.

The Queen of Hearts was imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost like all the other villains, but when Mal removed the barrier in Descendants 3, all the villains were freed including the Queen of Hearts, who returned to Wonderland to rule it mercilessly. Descendants 4 takes place three years after Descendants 3, the reason why the Queen of Hearts did not attempt a coup d'état before is because Wonderland does not exist in Auradon (it is in another dimension), that is why the Queen of Hearts had to wait for them to open a portal between the two worlds to return to Auradon, which happened when Uma invited Red to Auradon High.

Red may change how she herself was raised. It will be interesting to see how she ends up after changing her mother. It will be good to see fairy god mother and uma. Though i do wish more would return, i understand why the og4 didn't. I wish dizzy and the 2nd vk kids were in it. As well as fairy god mother daughter and lonnie. Even audrey would be nice to see. We all hate chad but if he a brother to a new character then i wouldn't mind seeing if he has a loving sibling bond or annoying siblings rivaly.

Honestly, Red's plan to travel back in time to stop her mother from turning evil isn't going to work, because if it did work, the Queen of Hearts would never become a villan, which means that the events of the Alice in Wonderland movie wouldn't happen , what would change the history of Auradon and may change the history of the other descendants films.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this sequel yes we don’t have the original VK’s but I love how it’s somewhat of a sequel and a prequel We’d better see how Maleficent and hades fell in love and had Mal ❤

Descendants 4 is a sequel not a prequel, Maleficent and Hades will be secondary characters since the story will not focus on them, only on the new characters (Red, Chloe and their mothers).

Red and Chloe go back in time and learned that when Red's mom was their age, she and a few other future villains (the VKs of the past) all attended a magical school ran by Merlin and the events that they went through at that school caused them to grow into the villains they are today it says we'll see a teenage Maleficent and teenage Hades in the film (maybe they already started their "doomed romance")

No, the events that occurred at Merlin's Academy did not turn the villains evil, they already were, but the Queen of Hearts became evil because of a traumatic event allegedly caused by Uliana, Ursula's younger sister.

well, they were both attracted to power, Hades being a God and Maleficent being a dark fairy made them powerful in each other's eyes, after they got banished to the Isle of the Lost, they presumably had a "whirlwind romance and civil marriage" that was supposed to unite the 2 most powerful people on the Isle of the Lost in terms of reputation, but their relationship spiralled downhill soon after Maleficent got pregnant, leading them to "split" shortly after their daughter, Maleficent "Mal" Bertha was born

Mal in the first movie Audrey grandma thought she was maleficent and she asked how have you stayed so young so in the rise of red why doesn’t the younger version of maleficent have horns is Mal supposed to have horns or did they make a mistake?

When it was announced that Chloe is Chad's younger sister, many were confused because they did not understand why Chad is Caucasian if his mother (Cinderella) is African-American and his father (King Charming) is Asian in the descendants universe; This led many to believe that Chad is adopted, however in the first Descendants movie when Evie asks Doug who Chad is, Doug tells her that Chad is the son of Cinderella and King Charming in addition to mentioning that he inherited the Charm of his parents, which could indicate that Chad is not adopted and that Cinderella and King Charming are his biological parents.

Morgana is Ursula's younger sister, she appears in the film The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, however the sequels to the Disney films are not canonical in the Descendants universe. In the universe of descendants, Uliana is the younger sister of Ursula and is the character that we will see in the next movie, we will also see Morgi, the son of Morgan Le Fay, the mortal enemy of the wizard Merlin, from the movie The Sord in the stone (which tells the story of king Arthur).

When the show of the movie came out with the trailer I thought it was going to be terrible first thing ever was going to be messed up does Cameron Boyce is going I thought they could have done it a different way if they were going to do a movie my plan was to start with the vks that they had already gave me life too which is dizzy Captain hook's mate boys and Cecilia we're all going to start in a thing with they went to the school and start over like that I thought that would have been a good way to end it but I thought when I saw this was going to be not a good idea at all and is going to turn out really really bad and now I'm kind of interested in seeing it it looks really like the first one and makes it look really cool and makes you wonder what's going to happen

@st3458 I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the older Queen of Hearts is being played by Rita Ora (I recognise her voice), who is a British singer, not an established actress. However, Ruby Rose Turner, who is playing young Queen of Hearts, has been acting since she was young and is American.
