The Dangerous Goods Regulations is the only standard recognized by the members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA); this means 275 airlines in 117 nations. This video briefly summarizes the important sections of the 59th Edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Hi, I want to attend for basic DG training as a shipper. If I completed my training as shipper then I can sign for multiple companies as a shipper or not? Awaiting for the reply

these rules apply to businesses transporting hazmat by air with the use of their own plans?

That is a good question. 1.2.1 of the IATA DGR limits the applicability of the regulations to airlines that are members of IATA & shippers & agents that use those airlines to transport dangerous goods. If your not a member of IATA these regulations don't apply to you. However, the technical instructions of ICAO (which IATA is based on) may still apply.

First of all, make sure you purchase the 61st Edition if you wish to comply with the regulations for 2020. Second, the DGR can be purchased directly from IATA or from several commerical suppliers: ICC Compliance Center

i am in South Sudan and interested in IATA training how do i go about it?

I can provide you with IATA training for shippers & packers of dangerous goods per 1.5 of IATA DGR via a live webinar. There are other companies that provide the training as a self-guided, computer-based course (I do not). You may also be able to find a source for the training closer to South Sudan where you may travel to them or they may travel to you (I am in the U.S.) I hope this helps.
