Thanks for that insight in 37107 final jaunt Mr chopper121.... I only got a couple of vids of 107 working.. one was filmed at Hooton (Wirral) on that said service tanks from Holyhead To Stanlow in nov 95.. Cheers Warren

Rip locos

Interesting video!!

Always a shame to see locos scrapped, but that is the way of the industrial era. Like the Granadas, Westminsters, Vanden-Plas Rolls etc, Useful life has been served, many miles have they travelled. Their bodywork seams bulge and split with rust, their engines are tired and fuel-thirsty, their running-gear worn-out. The old must perish and be recycled to make way for the new. (sniff, sob, etc)

I never knew that there was a train scrapyard in Wigan! I live in Southport and might take a trip down there if its still there. Can anyone tell were this yard is in Wigan.
