You guys crack me up.. already put a deposit down. I’ll keep my old car. Don’t forget the $$ you’re going to have to spend on suspension upgrades. Saw the Cletus/ pastrana video and someone jumped it and it looked like it was going to endo! Suspension travel numbers don’t mean travel quality.

Looks like a good start to the build process. If I did a car I would get RX RS with Smart shocks - No Can Am accessories at build - all can be sourced and added later, and I would be looking at rear boxes and storage. Can Am offers a lot of cools stuff at a price and as of today no or very limited accessories from aftermarket, so they may be only option for awhile. Upon delivery I would do a aftermarket cage w/roof, add some mirrors, lights (front low, mirrors and chase), winch, front bumper. Then drive it for a season and see what comes out in the aftermarket and what can be added to further improve the car and enhance the experience.

Properly built Turbo S (4 seaters) is still the king in my opinion, it would be cooler if it had a dct, but other than that that thing is a beast !

If this doesn’t top the time charts by at least a full second over your Pro R I’m going to be severely disappointed considering how much praise it’s been receiving from the “pros”

What’s the benefit of going with the R “X” instead of the base R? The X gives you that extra display?

I personally would go with smart shox for sure. Or at least the RS. I’d need the RC2 shocks over the qs3. Not enough adjustment. But after the smart shox there’s no way I could go without.

Agree. It's only $2k more than the next lower option and you get 16 inch wheels i believe. My only issue is the $45k price! Just insane, imo. I'd be a buyer at $37-39k for the smart shox version.

The roof scoop is required for airflow if you buy a windshield, my question is what does the accessory bus bar look like for separate accessories like comms, chase lights, pumper system.

Actually to order the windshield the wipers, harness and roof scoop is all required

they have a protective film for the windshield, I'm going to enclose it for the winter, windshield is essential for me, I like the R X better I feel it's going to be easier to go 35x15 than 35x16

@@desertsxs I looking at the stereo, The roof one stage 4 is $3499 4 speakers no subwoofer, stage 3 is $3599 with a subwoofer, stage 5 is $5099 for 2 subwoofers, I feel the best bang is stage 3 cause a subwoofer is $749 and the amp $649

I can’t get over the price tags on these new machines. Granted they do come with a lot of tech and high quality components, but it’s just not practical for 90% of people out there. Not to mention they’re going to depreciate quite significantly over a few years of good use

I'm a decent shock tuner but have to give consideration to the smart shocks. I just like the ability to stiffen on demand. Why do you steer away from the smart shock?

I plan on getting smart shocks trying to show more affordable build on a budget and different options and routes you can go than what we do

Love the idea for the car but personally I’ll be getting either a xpedition northstar or a ranger xd. If I had a badass track I would definitely still have a pure sport sxs

Not ordering one at all!! they look bitchin and would be fun to drive but I just don't ride enough to justify the price of new machines these days, Polaris included. At these prices I better be able to plate the MF here in California for it to be worth it.

So you're ordering factory direct? I assumed you'd have to go through a dealer. I'm not planning to buy one, but I've never paid MSRP on a sxs. Then again, I've never bought a first year model. I'm still holding out for my Diablo(which I got in for $31.5k), but if it falls through I'll be looking for something for next year.

If you got in a Speed at $31k then you have the first batch of Diablos. You'll be driving that in Dec. I'll bet my paycheck on it. If the speed key is indeed released at delivery, then it becomes the car to beat, period. If RG stops long enough to see the future, then he will develop a DCT and then a live valve option. Hopefully all back-compatible.

Build it to survive your track. Or the dunes. Maybe a spare tire. But you won't need it. Actually, yes, if you damage that wheel and tire, no one will have a spare to lend you.

I hate that the skid plates aren’t just included. Same with the audio system, just put it all together. cool design and all but all the accessories just kill me.

I would not get the skid plates simply because they are riveted on from the factory I would take mine to a fab shop and have some real professionals Build me some plates That were bolted on to it

This is in an interesting comment since you can buy the 2023 top model for $31k and have 200hp. There's an option for people who want to spend everything on this hobby and your average enthusiast. i for one am glad they provided a top-tier option. now the choice is mine.
