"more" ancient is the right term. that thing is a beast. really great tree and a yew too. i'm excited to see what you come up with. the mini chainsaw should work great. i got a new somewhat small one myself to serve multiple purposes including a bit of bonsai carving.

Good to see your happy smiling face again buddy. That yew is an amazing specimen and will make a fabulous bonsai, I think you should be brave and go for the lower branch as the new leader

Again, I think you're right. That lower branch as the new leader for sure. An alternative to all the carving would be just to lose all the top bit, but that seems a waste. Go for it mate!

You and Yew... Tony heres a silly I think question from me as a relative newbie. How do you grow a tree bigger. Do you just literally just leave desirable branches uncut? Is it that straightforward??
@TonysBonsai
@TonysBonsai Жыл бұрын
Hi Luigi. Not a daft question at all. Yes, by allowing a tree to do what it really wants to do IE grow leaves and branches, the trunk will thicken and everything will get bigger
@luigiluigi2098
@luigiluigi2098 Жыл бұрын
@@TonysBonsai Thanks Tony, so I'll let it go mad and grow to get to desired size with branches I want -.and then after that start the ramification.
