It means a lot for university students like me, thank you 🦔 We basically had 9 weeks and on the 10th we had to present a portfolio with projects but we covered only the basics in class nothing in depth like this and surprise surprise one of the things we have to do is a logo. You are really creative and have great ideas! But when it come to Adobe Illustrator you... hit control,shift, f,o,alt p,spacebar,z,y,mnop. I was totally lost! Thanks for the tutorial :) Though it pains me that you don't use align tool to align your objects with equal amount of spacing. That you use ctrl C, ctrl F instead of just using alt and dragging the object you want to repeat. In addition to this you repeat elements by copying and dragging each element instead of doing that one time and then using ctrl d to repeat them, this way you get equal spacing between objects and its more efficient. Fonts on a business card should not be less than 7 pt, bolder fonts can be 6 but light fonts is a complete NO NO below 7 pt. It may look good on screen, but it wont work well on print.

My thoughts exactly! You have one of the most precise design tools and not using them to full potential. It is just so annoying at times. Plus, it was kind of painful to watch when you cut that beautifully spread and spaced typeface and did not account for lost width or space between letters. But overall, good video, thanks.

I wonder how long it took before you realized that you forgot to pull the E in "Cutcake" to the left along with the K (1:37:52) creating an awkward tracking... :)

I was initially thinking this as well, but I also acknowledge that it's probably deliberate in order to emphasise the theme of slimming. I'd maybe have included some kind of motion motif to make up some of the difference, for the sake of tracking and to give the logo some extra dynamism. Not sure if that would make the graphic too 'busy' though.

Overall, it's nice to see how others approach a design project like this. Your videos have helpful information. Keep up the good, hard work. There are a lot of short cuts you could be using in Illustrator that would allow you to develop your logo/art more quickly (ie., like other Adobe products, holding down the option key while dragging creates a copy of what you have selected, eliminating the need to copy and paste).
