This is one of my favorite videos you've posted. There is so much information and insight into the process. Seems like Newell gives the conversion guys a run for their money!

By far the best introduction to the Newell Motor Coach. Great job Andrew, now it would be great to do a weekly build , step by step of a new coach. This a dream coach of mine.

Designing , adding the wants , needs and wishes is easy. That budget part is what holds back most of us dreamers.

Great view into the process. In many ways it is the same as when I was at Newell, but you guys have moved to the next level in many ways, too. Good to see James taking the lead and reminiscing. I remember the first Newell I did, too, but that was 1982, Lloyd and Maurine Smith. My best to the Newell team. Keep up the good work!

This bespoke process is exactly what people who can afford a brand new Newell are looking for and expect. It's a good thing for them I'm not their next customer, they would not like me much until the final stretch, then they'd want to use mine for marketing because there would absolutely be options they've not only never done but never even considered. (Lith/ion power, solar panels, home theater server with 100% OLED screens, because sooner or later it's going to get dark and I won't want to be outside anymore. "Lifesource" whole coach water filter, etc etc) it would be an extremely capable boondock rig! Nice upload Andrew, very professional and well done. 👍

Great video. We bought a 10 year old Newell because the build quality outlasts the original owner and they fit the best equipment. We love ours. The biggest challenge is finding the right one because they are all unique! If you plan on doing the same be prepared to travel to see them! It’s a great team at Newell and even now I know I can pick up the phone 24/7 and call them for free if I have a technical problem. We also dream of being able to go through the process of buying a new one, Powerball willing.

Just like building a 2.1 million dollar house. From design to completion it's in the owners hands. I don't know if my 37 year marriage could survive the stress. Looks like they are using AutoCAD for the deign work. I've used it in manufacturing and teaching along with modeling software. Thanks Andrew for the great content. I appreciate it so much.

Great video Andrew. You asked some great, and very pertinent, questions. I had to chuckle when you asked the question about what was the most expensive option and they were wanting to dodge that a little bit. I can understand their response though in that everything is a custom design and you're not really picking packaged options like you would with a new car or truck. Did you happen to ask them is they would provide a set of the design/construction drawing with the coach? That surly would be welcomed by any buyer to know how the coach was constructed when they needed to perform any maintenance or modifications to it later on. I'm now expecting to see you at the NEWELL booth at the Tampa show instead of the PREVOST area. ;-)

Interesting.

Its long been a dream of mine to be able to one day go through the process of ordering my own Newell. I would be interested to see how elaborate things could get such as designing both the rear and half bath to have smaller 12" to 18" slides in those areas to add a bit more room. I know one issue is having plumbing on slides, but possibly have floating vanity designs so the slides wpuldnt need to go all the way to the floor and have the seemless design like Newell has perfected on thier main slide design. Basically add them with a simpler design that makes it easier to engineer. Ive always wondered if and how often Newell has to say "not possible" even if I were to tell them the budget can go up another 7 figures if these two features can happen. Lastly, I would even love to go spend a couple days there to do the entire design and build process sometime, designing my dream rig so once retirement comes all I would need to do is send them a pile of money and say "GO!!". Anyway, another info packed video, and like I mentioned earlier, really the only question I would have liked to see you ask is how often and what type of things have people said they want but Newell has said it cant be done no matter what. Im sure people have asked for things that are simply rediculous requests that most anyone would know are just not possible to have on a road legal vehicle, but I also wonder what other things they have tried without success. Could be an interesting topic to include in another video with Newell.

I have yet some different ideas for the plan floor .

A Newell customer can build their custom coach from the ground up in less time than it takes to receive a Leisure Travel Van!

My family used be Bluebird Wanderlodge or Newell all the way. Bluebird no longer makes motor coaches, but Newell has way outrun the competition! No Prévost conversion can compare to what Newell does.

let's be real, at 2.2 mil. we could likely get a really nice coach anywhere. If you want to impress me, do it the same way for 250k or less. I obviously don't mean you go and get the most expensive and then make it cost 250k. I mean can we get a nice custom in that cost range without getting just a base coach.
