A course on Designing of Plastic Products for Injection Moulding was conducted by Prof. Vijay Bapat at IDC, IIT Bombay. The proper knowledge of materials and their manufacturing process helps a designer to select the best material as per its application. A good designer always considers the limitations and constraints of the materials in the design phase since materials not only affect the aesthetics of a product but also decide its manufacturing cost. This clip explains the feature critical for understanding and designing to avoid undercut.

more informative. i dont understand the "striple plate mechanism" which is told after 40.00 & can you add design consideration in number like "maximum it can go about this much length, angle & radius vice versa. thank you

with due respect,I want to add in that please do not call perpendicular with dia draw direction.it doesn't have to be exact 90 degree.if it has any angle & not parallel to the die draw it is a die_lock or under cut(in between features)
