I’ll hand it to the writers: they did well with this update. It’s the longest story we’ve gotten in this expansion so far, with players able to finally learn more about Sahar and get ahold of the very thing we’ve been chasing for nearly three years. However, I still think they need to stop including so many kotor-style cutscenes; the constant back and forth interrupts the pacing and we barely get to hear our characters speak as is. If they’re going to make us wait every six months for story updates, then why not let the actors do more voice work? But yeah, that’s my take on it. Thanks again for the awesome stream, hope we can talk again soon 😎💯

Man out of all the things Shae has done this is by far the craziest and it could backfire on her big time. With Malgus free his vision may come to pass now and Shae may have unknowingly helped Malgus even though she thinks she is using him but it’s really the other way around.

i'm just gonna say it, i fucking hate the mandolorians now. all because of this arc. i would rather have the empire/republic going in guns blazing and just eradicating heta kol and her chain gang rn than deal with them for yet another update.

While some things of this update were a bit jarring, such as your character not having many speaking lines due to cuts, but my favorite thing of this update was definitely the ending cutscene. That was a joy to watch imo

How is there almost no main character voicelines ? Especially for a main line quests. This is pretty sad, seems like the quality is droping.

A lot of people don't realize that they need to pay 48 voice actors to get the main characters talking

They got back to the KOTOR style of conversation (WHY?!) plus now they are doing so for the main quest. Either this is the weirdest choices ever or they cant pay the voice actors like they used to. Voice acting was the strength of the game, it is ridiculous to have section where you character just does not speak. The story has very little appeal to it. Though the ending is a really nice call back to the OG cinematics, the actions of Shae make very little sense (but in it self it's fine). What is going to happen ? They're going to give us the choice to kill Shae ? An other choice that will break the lore once again. Fight Malgus for the 5th DAMN time ???? Or have Malgus take the place as emperor which would make sense and could if done well (which in the past the years they cant do anything without breaking the lore) be pretty cool and fix the lore such as: Dark Council members being completly different from playthroughs to playthroughs, other things such as what happen to the other classes ??? Will Nox gain his place back in the other people's story ? Where is the Barsen'thor ? The lore is all over the place and it feels like they are struggeling to expend the story and characters, and is probably a waste of time for the devs to try to get around every different deaths or non-deaths. The only way I see how it could be fixed would be by killing off the characters who could be previously killed. That way they'll be able to get back to a maybe more intimate story that was the appeal of the classes stories. Have a more concistant core of rulling characters like the dark council or the jedi council. Once that will be done prehaps be able to build up to biggger threats like Jadus coming back, Yuuzhan Vong making a first secret attemped in the unknwon regions, Acient siths coming back in some for or an other. The capitalisation on the mandalorian is a late and makes up for a story that struggles to move forwards while still breaking a lot of eggs. 6 months for that doesnt feel great. Since the game came out the story telling is now kinda meh (Though it looks premesssing) but the level of quality needs to step up or I'm afraid the game might slowly die out in the 3 next years to come. Something big but not lore breaking needs to happen, a hard return to basics needs to happen. I hope they will continue for years and the graphical changes are great !

I love the conflicting on sahar face. Her face has different reactions depends on what you say. Like on the ship when you told her to toughen up she tried to make a neutral face but not that successful

I found this update kind of fun. The only gripe I had was the lack of VA’s and it sounded like they used AI for some of the characters, but then, if the VA’s aren’t available, they can’t use them 🤷‍♂️ Playing the update, it was literally just full of players whining and complaining in the chat. Yes, they’re entitled to their opinion on it, but it felt like a lot of them were complaining for the sake of complaining. One complaint was “Ugh, more menial tasks”. What did they expect? Straight to the end? They’d complain it was too short if that was the case. The Voss update was considerably worse.

Ungrateful Mandalorians. Shae.. it is time to put you down, for crossing me. after i grieve for you, why u betrayed me? *Sigh we must wait for another update to know the rest of the story. and i have given enough forgiveness for those who betray me, now no more.

Looks like we have another one to add to the list of traitors and after Darth Occlus (my SI) spent so much time helping and covering for Shae. Looks like someone finna learn the hard way why a calm sith is the worst sith. Thought on a serious note we better be able to kill her or at least hurt her if they don't want her dead. Also this is Lana is best girl, unlike CERTAIN people she is actually loyal.

Usually I play both my SW and JK as pragmatic LS or neutral but after Shae killed their leads with Sa'har early on and now breaking Malgus out of prison their not gonna show mercy to Shae because what in the world could she have possibly been thinking freeing Malgus. Honestly this is why they suggested killing Malgus because they knew he would escape at some point, nor can they defend Shae anymore because he obviously just broke the terms of their alliance.

You must update light side with this story. Please quickly update.

I am really a simp, bcs I don't give af about the story anymore. Esp since it's not voice acted, but I will play it for those 30 seconds of Malgus. They really know why they brought him back again and again. I hate that it's working.

My prediction is that odessen is going to be invaded by A) The empire (since Dark council menbers are famus for doing things against the empires interst, plus krovos did say "for now" at the end) or B) shae and malgus. All of them want the holocron. And for scenario B) since you choosed to keep the holocron and the slaves away from lord krovos, I don't personally think they would defend you if someone attacks you.

The reason for the KOTOR text instead of voice is obviously budget. I don't mind at all because I find it more immersive when I voice the lines in my head. I would much rather that budget go towards content, outfits, decos you can acquire and updating older graphics with AI upscaling etc and QOL any day. Give me something like "favorites" on companions or let me drag companions on to a hotbar over some voice lines that don't need to be there any day. If there is one planet I would like updated it's Hoth. Just stop the blue light eyebleeding and I would be happy. Heck just copy and paste the Ilum lighting or give an option for it or something. As far as immersion my dream is Sabacc poker tables with buy in's. I think you could have a huge social hub in Nar Shadaa and it would be awesome.

I’m re watching the stream right now and don’t know if it was already addressed, but the recast of the Male Imperial Agent feels really off. I think it’s really unfortunate as the old voice was so unique to me. It sounds like a completely different character at times and really threw off the immersion in some cutscenes.

Honestly the update was ehh I was annoyed that there wasn't a lot of cutscenes just dialogue choices which is stupid. The only thing good that came out of this update was the ending cutscene of the update. On top of that the cosmetics annoyed me because lo and behold in order for us to have our hair show in a hoodie we need to buy a hoodie that shows the hair but they can't implement it as option in settings or like helmets I really feel for siths or those who want to play evil . There's not that many options to play like a sith or if you want to be ruthless.
