Destiny 1 & 2: The Full Story of ULDREN SOV, The Forsaken Prince
This video serves as a tribute to one of my favorite characters in all of Destiny, Uldren Sov. The awoken prince, and younger brother to Queen Mara Sov, falls to madness by the hand of a creature that he found in its infancy. Which he originally gifted to Mara as an act of kindness. This creature was Riven of a thousand voices, the last known Ahamkara. The Ahamkara were wish-making, shape-shifting, reality-bending dragons who preyed on the desires of any given individual. After the fight with Oryx, Oryx would enter The Dreaming City and take Riven. After Oryx died, Riven would then be under the control of a new hive master, Savathun, the witch queen. Meanwhile, Uldren, drowned in grief, would be preyed upon by Riven over his desire to see his sister again. The years of continuous neglect from Mara made Uldren dash himself to pieces in an effort to please her and receive even a sliver of validation. Riven would take advantage of this and would whisper into Uldren's ear under the guise of his sister's voice. This made Uldren believe Mara was crying out for help and needed to be freed from The Dreaming City. Once again, this was merely Riven manipulating Uldren so that she may escape her paradise turned prison, The Dreaming City. Uldren killing Cayde was orchestrated by Riven because she knew that we would kill Uldren, enter The Dreaming City, slay her, and then curse The Dreaming City as the Last Wish was made by Savathun herself, who wished to curse the city and create a murder battery to grow infinitely stronger and eventually enter the distributary. This is where the awoken became the awoken and they are unable to permanently die and come back upon death just like guardians. However, hive thrive upon death and destruction as stated by their Sword Logic. This would lead to the taken Vex Mind, Quria, Blade Transform to make The Dreaming City undergo its 3 week curse cycle to create an endless time loop of death and destruction to feed the witch queen's power.

You know what makes uldren so great as a character and the fact hes a guardian even better Every action, every choice he has made was done out of devotion, bravery and self-sacrifice which lead to his death The speaker was right about how someone is gifted with the travellers light Its a shame bungie hasnt done anything with him for a year now, so much potential for the story

I like him too! I don’t understand why people think it’s bad that he got rezzed. He was such a good character in d1 and a really compelling villain in D2. I really felt bad for him and didn’t really want to kill him at the end of the campaign, he was being manipulated the whole time and he just wanted to save his sister.

Uldren is such an interesting character. I hated him in Forsaken and shooting him was one of my favorite moments. Now he's one of my favorite characters. Having him be reborn as a Guardian is one of the best decisions Bungie ever made. What an interesting storyline

As an OG vanilla destiny player who stopped playing at destiny 2 when the dlcs started coming out, a video popped up showing uldren coming back to life with cayde 6 for the release of the final shape. I spent the last hour catching up on what happened and now I’m here recalling who uldren was as I remembered him. Needless to say, it took forever to find out what’s really gone on with this game since I left it. But now have a new excitement and urge to play the final dlc

I had interpreted the title of Amnestia to be a reference to amnesty - a forgiving or overlooking of past crimes.

I was just in the store the other day and was looking for a new ship, I did not end up buying this one though. After seeing this, and being obsessed with Uldren in a way, I went to buy it immediately and they have changed the store! This is going to haunt me for a while.

Oook so, Uldren is alive and a guardian now but he doesn't have his memory. After reading the lore of the ship i guess yes, i could forgive him. Without his memory he is a new person now... Still if he recovers just a bit of what he did to Cayde-6 *PULL THE TRIGGER BOI*

Sec Pendragon probably someone else. Like you said, he is a completely different person, and he would probably want to show everyone that he isn’t the Uldren they think he is, which is kinda hard to do when you have the same name as Uldren.

I really hated Uldren during Forsaken, but at the end, I undertood why, and kinda felt bad for him. He wasn't in his right mind. And now he remembers nothing as a Guardian. Sorry for not being clearer sooner, but is it right to hold the misdeeds of a Guardian (that they do not remember) against them as a Guardian? is it right to hold past misdeeds against someone who doesnt even remember them? (sorry, I get a little philosophical sometimes) Anyway Great video! TWO THUMBS UP!

After learning how Crow was treated n such it is harder to blame him for his past. The real test for me is if he can look at his sister and honestly not remember being Uldren Sov. If that happens I’m willing to believe he’s really a different person

I didn’t play Forsaken but I did see a gameplay of it and the first thing I noticed of Uldren was his eyes they were dark and his skin had some darkness on the sides which is how I knew he was under someone’s influence. What pissed me off in Forsaken wasn’t Uldren but rivens version of Mara I knew that wasn’t how Mara acted. To me she was always in the shadows and hides her expressions I hardly even see her standing she’s mostly sitting down. Also about The Who shot Uldren at the end I think it was Petra because the Ace of Spades didn’t have any bullets inside it. And the sound the ace of spades made when Uldren shot Cayde and the gunshot at the end have a different sound. I’m really excited for season 13. I like Uldren as a guardian and the fact that he’s free from Mara and the Spider cause I don’t think she cared for him. She probably did but to me it looked like servant and queen not siblings.

The voice actors of the ghost was Peter Dinklage but they changed it to Nolan north during the taken king expansion because apparently Peter Dinklage made the ghost “emotionless” or “robotic” so they completely removed traces of Peter Dinklage ghost and replaced them with Nolan north.
