Even worse, Bungie are removing planets and campaigns from previous expansions because they aren't making a new game instead. I don't know how you can justify that. Balake that content is being remvoed becuase the game is getting to big like gig wise. That content has been in the game for years and is hardly played so it’s being vaulted to be brought back at a later date. Sunsetting was something that was needed in the previous years of destiny becuase a few weapons have reigned supreme for years. Would you want them to take away all of your loot and progress just to make a new game so that we don’t loose mercury or something. No becuase if they did you would be up in arms about that. Also entire campaigns are able to be replayed you just have to do them in order. You get them from holiday. Piggybacking on the last point makes no sense, it’s a continuous story that’s how it works duh. Ever verse I agree is a problem and is being neutered in September bungie has already said exactly what there doing to it and there taking almost everything out and putting in the game. The game is actually in a great state now with the forsaken dlc. I'm not gonna excuse its shitty launch and the fact that you have to pay 120 bucks total for the game and all the expansions, but as a long time fan of destiny, its refreshing to see bungie finally getting something right.

That same group could easily show Joe punching what could be construed to represent the corporate leadership. Obviously someone who knows what that character actually is should have told them the backstory before it boiled over.

Ikr, a huge reason for that I'd say, is the lack of npcs out in the environments. Every npc in Destiny is a vendor and nothing else. There are no stranded survivors to rescue, no armed militia groups you can join in firefights. It's just you and a shit ton of enemies. And vendors handing out rewards.

Michael Vin good for u. 1.When the original game came out I got a steal $20 bucks (from gamestop they had a deal trade games to save money. Too many great games were traded in) and I regret it what bland, boring, game destiny is. 2. No matter how many times the fanboys tell me to: Read the lore, on the wiki, watch a video loser. I tell them then why aren't u working at bungie or Activision. wait that right Activision is the devil of gaming only caring about $$$$$$$$ and franchise 3. just look at cod, Tony hawk, guitar hero, skylanders series how many games do they have and they just plan out destroyed each of them Skylanders had a decent start and was made for kids but it turn into a yearly game series, Tony Hawk glade Activision lost the Tony Hawk game rights. Cod we already now it Activision favorite cash cow and how each game just trys to outdo the other one heck even Michael Bay would laugh of at them. Guitar hero was good dumb fun but it was licenses music that killed that franchise. 4. I am so glade I left destiny after taken king I could not take it anymore how Activision just treat there studios like crap and how the studio just have deal with just making ONE FUCKING GAME ALL THE TIME. Infinity Ward,Treyarch, Sledgehammer, Bungie Deserves much better they prove that they talent but there talent is wasted by the devil of gaming. Oh Ea and Konami are worst but Activision is on another level.

Yea I've been specifically waiting on this review to decide if it's even worth my time and I'm come to realization this game is supported by nothing more than blind fanboys no different than COD fanboys and I'm not supporting it. I saw too many red flags before any reviews even came out and Joe just confirmed every single one of those fears I had right from the get go.

You said that you got the first game for free and that you know it’s faults probably had some fun playing it, but even then you’re reserving judgment on Destiny 2, which proves you’re not a fanboy. I said this game is supported by pretty much nothing but fanboys and you’re not a fanboy so my argument still stands. I mean yea I’ll eventually buy the game myself when it has all content or at least majority of it and I feel it’s worth it, but for the moment no I’m not supporting this game regardless of how many of my buddies keep trying to get me to buy it. It’s a completely lackluster mediocre looter shooter and the loot isn’t even all that good. Borderlands does loot better than Destiny can or ever will. Compare a Legendary in Borderlands and an “Exotic” in Destiny based on power alone, and there really is no comparison. I wanna play Destiny 2 because it would be great with friends, but nothing about the game itself aside from maybe exploring the planets, excites me in any way.

Kathka To be fair, the microtransactions in this game are purely cosmetic and if you play the game, you can get everything anyway. Just takes longer. But when it comes to being able to buy amazing gear to puts the game in your favor, I'm in total agreement with you. THOSE MT's are pure cancerous.

sure its totally up to publisher but still in paid game even cosmetics as micro transactions is a douchebeggary since its a customizing option u know many games give that option at the start of the game or later to be purchased with in game currency not real money its like bethesdas paid mods they were like remember guys when these used to be free now they r not

Warframe is the only game iv played thus far that does microtransctions right. And it's free.

Kathka The Shaders that you can pay for can be found in the game, you just have to be willing to play for them. I got quite a few really awesome shaders doing the Nightfall and Raid's. It's nowhere near as bad as pay to win transactions though. I don't think that the unnecessary DLC and the microtransactions were Bungie's idea. I'm gonna blame it on Activision. Bungie have proven that they can create great games. But signing up with Activision was the worst possible move they could have made.

yeah they removed half the base game planets entirely, it may be a free game but you basically need to buy the DLCs if you wanna have fun. They made warmind and dlc with osiris free but then they added 3 more

Yeah, that is the problem destiny 2 is always going to have without a base story. Destiny 2 requires too much money to actually enjoy the game. I think they need to give the game a base story desperately, because new players have nothing to do without dropping around like $80-$100 on DLC content that you still have to find people to experience it with.

If your just there for story and not to grind the best weapons and armor to be the best in pvp and pve activities like grand Master nightfalls or raids then this game isn't for you

The original writer at bungie left microsoft in the first place for creative freedom, but after Activision he left and is now back making crackdown 3's story, Activision did to bungie what they did to infinity ward abd gut the staff and replace it hoping people wont know

His whining whenever a developer doesn't suck his massive hard-on for space battles has become really grating to me and he needs to grow up. He has yet to demonstrate any kind of capacity for discerning when that mechanic fits in a game and when it doesn't. It isn't hard to figure out why the space battle mechanic isn't in Destiny.... The game world makes it abundantly clear.

Yeah that whole "Your light is mine" lasted for about 5 minutes huh. And Ghaul is pretty passive agressive bad guy, for someone who has the smarts to dominate the entire army of guardians. Wants to the traveller and the light, but wants to do it the honorable way and waste our time with pointless cut scenes that lead to practically fuck all. Great Job Bungie

Someone on the Internet As a huge fan of Destiny, I completely agree. All through D1, I didn't ever really get bored. I played all the way up until D2 release and was so excited for "all the big changes". Well, there's not really a whole lot that grabbed me. I know there ARE changes, but nothing that awed me. And I've been accused of being a "fanboy" in the past, but things like the shaders, emblems taking vault space, lack of abandoned quest kiosks, etc., left me pretty bummed. I still really enjoy the game and have played everyday since launch, I'm starting to get a feeling I never got in D1...boredom. And then Tess is back in full force & this time they're really pushing the micros with the whole shader issue. I had some issues with D1, but I fear the longer I play 2, the more issues I'll probably find. I hope I'm wrong. I bought the damn thing with the season pass, like a jackass, so I'm hoping my spirits will start to rise again as those are released. Sorry for the novel. **P.S. For those of you that are loving the game, I'm super happy for you, honestly. For those of you who have issues with it or even hate it, I feel where you're coming from. I'm neither "fanboying" nor "hating", just expressing my views. My doctor says I can't have anymore salt in my life. Thanks!
