I thought it was absolutely preposterous that Ben essentially is okay with Trump saying or doing literally anything because “That’s just what Trump does” or “I don’t treat Trump like other Presidents” while at the same time getting outraged at Biden for giving run of the mill speeches.

Incase you don't know, this debate talk started with Ben on a podcast. The host asked Ben, "Who does it best on the left.", Ben answered Destiny and said he was open to the idea of debating Destiny. Destiny saw the clip and they got into talks about setting up a debate.

To me Ben sounds smart but when you think out his arguments their sort of surface level. Like people should have two parents households. Sure I agree but how will you make that happen. Id say free contraceptives and free abortion services. Ben just doesnt really have a solution. And like on tax cuts he says tax cuts are good but we cant cut spending because you will never have the votes. In the reality where we cant cut spending wouldnt tax cuts be bad? I just seems like hes so ideological he cant deal with the realities of the real world. Its difficult for me to really articulate it.

Jesus the amount of information Ben and that person with a girl’s name have is insane. The first 30-40 minutes of this talk kinda felt a bit like political dance.

20:19 it ends up in the garbage can because schools force kids to take fruits and vegetables with their food that they dont want and then they end up throwing them out, ++ the straight up horrible quality of the food itself theres days where the food was so dry and flavorless that I physically could not stomach to eat it, they try to promote healthy eating in schools and its back firing because they cant force all 400 or more students at lunch to eat their vegetables like their moms do

The amount of deference conservatives have for Thomas Sowell is really strange. Sowell’s research tends to employ a lot of shoddy justifications and- from what I’ve noticed, conveniently tends to leave out contradictions that would interfere in the functioning of this so-called libertarian paradise he’s making a case for. He also tends to pick a conservative opinion and then marshals an argument and evidence in its favor rather than sifting out the strongest arguments on either side to form a balanced opinion. His official backstory(tm) is kind of suspect. I think he’s a grifter. He’s not very well respected by other economists and his findings are considered fringe and highly ideologically motivated.

As far as your comments on the deficit… I think it’s extremely hard to parse out in Trump’s presidency for how much was his fault. Numbers wise it wasn’t great pre-Covid, but the Covid spike makes the overall look much worse. I think any president during that time would have a bad looking outcome due to that
