Still, ignorance to the tax cuts.. Just for fun, you own a business now. Say you were larger and made a bit more income. What would you do if you paid less tax at the end of the year? Invest back into the business? Hire a new employee or two? What taxes get created from that? Something my company did, bonus and hired additional employees. That was taxed, and the new employees created more tax over the long run because that payroll will go on for years. Revenue actually did increase as so many business invested back in. As a high income earner, my tax didn't go down personally either. At the top, I pay almost 50% of my income in taxes. It's a bit ridiculous and if your channel grows, you will start to learn. I know many entrepreneurs who prioritize paying less taxes over growth. Not saying they aren't growing and don't care at all, but they will work hard to avoid taxes. Even the ignorance where people complain about someone rich not paying taxes for a a few years, not understanding that they weren't actually making money in that time, their business was still paying payroll and other taxes. If you yourself made no money, just relied on your bank account which already got taxed numerous times, how much should you pay? And then we have the idea where new technology drives down employment. Every single major technology innovation the public is nervous about this. And every time, it doesn't. People predict the future inserting the new technology but assume everything else around it remains the same. Like, a picture in time, fast forward but just inserting the new tech doing certain jobs. We forget that during the transition other changes occur. New jobs get created using the new tech in ways not yet imagined, building it, advancing it, maintaining it, let alone other market factors unrelated to the tech itself but just to other conditions. For instance, the population is growing old and caretaking demand will be rising the next couple decades. Certain labor will be migrating back to the states due to global political tensions and risk. This is very similar to climate alarmism the past, 50 years. For the longest time all the alarmist scientists forgot to factor things like, opposite pole glacier growth rate or plant growth rate (eats CO2). Not saying society shouldn't be thinking about how changes could occur, but, I am saying most people put emotions with stubborn ignorance when it comes to certain alarmist fears. There may be a short term job growth down round, but it likely won't be enough to warrant making UBI payments. After all, once you start a new government entitlement, let me ask you, do politicians usually remove them when things are ok? Or, do they want to bribe their constituents with greater "benefits" from the government in order to get their votes, debt be dammed? Yea, we all know this one...
