Funny thing, I got a shader from him last night and I got the emblem earlier this week, and I'm only rank 14. Figures that the only RNG I have luck with is getting that crap. I've gotten Radiant Dance Machines and Bones of Eos two times each now and I really don't need another of either.

Hey, I hate to break it to you, but there is no point saving engrams for the expansion. When engrams drop, their reward will be pre-determined so you will only get taken king items as far as I'm aware

i think that the engrams will only be for the current dlc that is currently out not sure if they will drop new exotics when RoI drops.

That is because rank doesn't effect the quality of the package. It's just a marker to show how many level ups you have done.
