Destiny is mad at Ludwig for apparently lying about the exact circumstances of a party many years ago. His fans went straight to the editing board in an attempt to destroy him in the marketplace of ideas.
Hasanabi (AKA Hasan Piker) is an American Twitch streamer and political commentator. He is known for covering the news and discussing politics from a left-wing perspective. He also plays a variety of video games, reacts to funny videos and occasionally checks out memes made by the community.

Because you have the experience, it's no longer vibes, you know for a fact how it'll probably go. Vibes are more like gut-instincts

@@omegadirective I don’t think Destiny or his fans will ever acknowledge that the whole bit around him using Wikipedia stems from his literal own actions where he started giving opinions about Israel-Palestine, skimmed a Wikipedia article, and then continued to give opinions while admitting he knew nothing about the situation. He did not until a later point in time actually start looking at sources beyond Wikipedia articles so Slime’s joke may be dated but it wasn’t inaccurate because that is what Destiny did. Even now with him reading more he suddenly isn’t the intellectual titan his fans want to pretend he is. Anyways using Wikipedia for a quick read or as an entryway into a subject is perfectly fine. It’s when you use that to begin spouting opinions as if they are informed that we start having problems.

Hamas Piker is everything I hate about political pundits and talk shows. Hasanazi does not seek to have conversation and debate, he seeks to first and foremost, to prove you wrong, and that helps create radicalization and echo chambers that many of my generation have dug themselves in. People on the internet get cancelled over so much less, but he actively fasley accuses people of being genocidal, racist, and murderous when he is exactly what he excuses others of. I wish other creators would at least publicly distance themselves from him, or preferably, publicly denounce them.

The thing that I find especially interesting about Destiny’s community is that they are extremely militant. I know of very few communities that would endlessly scour their rival/enemy’s discord, subreddit, twitter, instagram, youtube, twitch vods, etc. looking for dirt to feed their content creator. Sure, there are sycophants in every community, but Destiny’s community has a disproportionate amount of sycophants, and Destiny himself openly supports and encourages this kind of behavior. It’s something I don’t see from the vast majority of internet spheres. It’s some of the most toxic para-social loyalty I’ve ever seen, I hope much of his fanbase grows out of it.
