In this video Salvatore Vinciguerra shows you the Destrehan Plantation in Southern Louisiana. The plantation home was completed in 1790 during the Spanish rule of this part of Louisiana. Salvatore shows you the interior of the home, as well as, the slave quarters, kitchen, and other buildings that are on the plantation.
The Destrehan Plantation is privately owned and depends upon the support of visitors and local benefactors. Please visit the www.DestrehanPlantation.org for more information about the history of this beautiful plantation home.

Why do they need those tacky dummies? I have an intact imagination. 👍

I have no idea why they used dummies throughout the plantation. It could be because the tour guide was telling stories about who lived in the plantation. The Destrehan Plantation is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. Thanks for watching my video. Have an amazing day!
