@@westtexastiger they got the rights back in 2018 and have hinted at it coming back a few times since. No hard confirmation of what they’re going to do with the IP yet but exciting none the less

I get the same vibes as I do with Ratchet & Clank. I've put this and the first game on my wishlist and I'm sure I'll get them at some point. The weapon variety is very much like Ratchet & Clank and I'm sure I'll end up using the same 2 or so weapons the whole time. I didn't use most of the weapons in Ratchet & Clank because of how good my main 2 were.

@@Space_Noise Combuster, Warmonger, and Buzz Blades were my main ones, I think. It's been a while since I played it and I had to look them up and go off visuals and descriptions, lol. Basically the ones that fire multiple projectiles or are fast with lots of ammo. Anything like the sheepinator or groovitron barely got used, because I just didn't have the time for them and didn't really find them entertaining or whatever to use. Even when I ran through the game on NG+ for the rest of the collectables I didn't use the other guns to try for the platinum since that requires using all the weapons and getting various achievements with them. It also applies when I play BioShock Infinite, lol. I've played that game multiple times as it's one of my favorite FPS games, and every time I always default to the pistol and the carbine as my weapons. I grudgingly use the crappy machine gun until I get the carbine and I use the sniper rifle when the game forces it in the Hall of Heroes bit. I always end up using the murder of crows and devil's kiss as my main two vigors as well.

Well the thing is, Ratchet and Clank has such a plethora of weapons per game that it's basically a good thing you stick to a personal loadout. The arsenal is so varied that everyone can find something they like.

@@mar_speedman That was my general feeling about the game. I'd play around with a new weapon every time I got one just to see how I liked it, but once I'd settled on my favorites I stuck with them the rest of the time. I imagine it's a similar arrangement with both Destroy All Humans games. Although there seems to be more advantages to being stealthy and sneaking around and distracting the NPCs than just outright killing them all as is normally done in a Ratchet & Clank game.

You forgot to mention Big Ben when talking about the landmarks they tossed into Albion! Can't talk about famous London-adjacent landmarks without triggering Ellen after all. But man, THQ has been going all-out on the advertising blitz, sponsored content has been popping up across so many channels. Then again, the DAH franchise is fun as hell so I'm not gonna complain!

I have lived thru a home fire, robbery at gunpoint, flooding, and accidents. It doesn't take long to experience a world of hurt and happiness. Why the hell is no one talking about how the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is supporting this game?! I mean seriously, some cursory research revealed that they invested 2,233,170€ in this. Why?! After some more research: It turns out that financially supporting game development projects is just something they do. They have an annual budget of 50 million € to support projects across Germany and some of it goes to games developers. Of the 2020/2021 budget, over 18.2 million € went into video games.

There's a short story about an alien invasion of earth in the scifi future where their ships are age of sails tech level because hyperdrive is easier than a combustion engine, and once they land and discover it's muskets versus laser pistols they realize they've really screwed up.

Yeah, the mothership gets destroyed at the beginning of the sequel, and the boss died with it or something like that. I think the Cryto from DAH1 is still alive though. I never played that game, only a little bit of 2.

@@dirpyturtle69 This isn't a reboot that completely retells the story. This is practically a remaster, with remade graphics and altered gameplay. Rebooting the third game the way it is probably won't improve on its faults if they continue on in that direction. Not that I'm saying that the game's bad, because I never got to play it, but from the synopsis I read, it sounds pretty outrageous.

@@CodaBlairLucarioEmperor It is a bit of both. In terms of graphics, it's remade. In terms of gameplay, it's slightly different. Weapons worked different in the original, for example. In terms of everything else, it's definitely a remaster. Same audio dialogue, same story... So, let's just call it a reprobe and call it a day XD
