I think what makes this channel great is the variety of jobs that you and your crew tackle every day. I have a theory why people are watching: As a mechanic (on helicopters) when I see a piece of equipment working on the side of the road I wonder how it works or what it does. The best way to know how something really works is to have an experienced mechanic walk you through it. Your explanation/description for whatever you are doing is probably the best part of the videos.

I love this show. I dont work in this industry, I dont turn a wrench, people think I cant swap a tire on a car, I am not the first choice to fix something, and when I say 'yeah i'll do it' people instinctively laugh and say 'yeah sure'. You have succeeded.

Took another look at this one. Center sheave binding with rope guard interference? Maybe 2 blocked ? Doesn't take much to bend the guards. Greetings from the USA!

How the hell can a plant operator not see this on his daily checks. Obviously just rolls in and rolls out, no pun intended. I see it all the time, plant sheet not signed or checked. And probably never greased. Charge them, they’ll soon learn.

Tail drum bearing s and head drum bearing are remotely greased from pipes that sit on the side of the crusher, that failed bearing had a grease nipple fitted to it lads so even if the operator was greasing the pipes it would have never made it to the bearing ... obviously it was a previous repair that hadn't been reconnected to the remote system ..Operators are required to obviously grease the machine but if the manufacturers grease system has been bypassed they can't be held accountable ..

Alot of ops never do daily checks which is shocking and it should be made compulsory really and they dont seem to understand if an accident happens and they ticked their sheet it comes back to them cos they signed it,so daily checks is a must esp with crushers/screeners but al plant in general

I enjoying content especially explaining n fixing👍interesting with rock crusher bearing, I wouldn’t mind inspecting other bearing on opposite side just makes sure it’s not wearing out because it’s been pull out of alignment. This situation not greasing gets me frustrated too, I look after farm/plant machinery n have seen inexperienced not grease let lone inspect equipment before starting this leads not just expensive break downs but injured or death.

am a retired master mechanic,,like your stuff! the sheered off bolts on a drive sprocket was the first video i saw ,you fix it where it broke . i worked on big trucks cranes loaders large forklifts so i know what its like, my dad was a truck mechanic so was my grandfather ,gess its in our blood.

Looks like operator maintenance and daily checks is a challenge in your world Baz. There seems to be a lot of engineering going on in these crushers/screening machines. The engineering stuff I watch has always been USA or Australia. Great that we've got a Brit giving us some real world experience now. Thank you sir, have a good break.
