I said it before, and i'll say it again...From now on, my beloved country is called ArJINtina. A little context: My country is currently suffering an economic crisis, but we are so passionate about football (soccer) and music, that Coldplay managed to break a record in this country: they sold out 10 shows at the River Plate stadium, with a capacity of approximately 70 thousand people. So... for Jin to appear on that show, performing his goodbye song for Army, made it extra special. I read comments from people who didn't know Jin or BTS, and they were charmed by his voice and his visuals. I'm glad they showed respect despite not knowing him. And I hope that one day the 7 can come to Argentina (and with their solo projects too).

I can't believe I was there, it was the first time I saw a member of BTS live. I'm from Mexico but I moved to Argentina for a few years so I lost hope of ever being able to listen to BTS live (when I was in Mexico I could travel to the US) but I feel lucky because I was able to see Jin's last performance before he goes to the military

Coldplay cemented themselves as true older brothers to BTS and are very adored for this by Army now. What a beautiful way for Jin to say “I’ll be back, I gave you a helmet so you’ll be safe and you know how to ride by yourself now. I love you”. It’s something I haven’t seen an artist say to their fans in this way before just beautiful. Will absolutely wait for them.

Jin is from another planet and his spaceship crashed on Earth. He stayed there for years and met the little girl that taught him a lot of things and loves him. When he got the opportunity to get back to where he's from he ran to the spaceship, but then remembering moments he spend with the girl he realized he already had what he wanted there and that Earth is now his home, so he went back to her at the end. This song is a "goodbye for a little while" for Army that Jin asked Coldplay help with :) they composed it and Jin wrote the lyrics in Korean.

i had the amazing opportunity to see Jin perform this live during coldplays concert here in buenos aires, being a fan since 2014 and this being the first time one of them comes to my country i really couldn't miss it for anything in the world, especially since it's such a especial performance. I've watched this a dozen times now...and I'm fine right up until he goes back down stage, arms outstretched, dancing in a circle...I don't know - I used to do that when I was in my 20's...when I felt really good, really happy, 'free' in a sense. A song would come on the radio that made me feel really good and that was my 'dance' lol. Seeing him do that makes me smile, warms my heart, and then turns on the water works lol. I'm 54 years old...music is NOT supposed to make me cry anymore! 😂😂😂💜💜💜

Jin is a extraordinary artist. He deserves all the love. And... How many artist can say "Chris Martin was doing the chorus for me". This relationship is amazing. And i'm very soory 'cause i live in Buenos Aires but i couldn't get a ticket for the concert.

So grateful to Chris and all of Coldplay for giving that shining moment to Jin. They made him as like the finale of their own concert, before their last song. Jin said in his live in the morning that Chris told him the stage is all his during his performance. But Jin said it is their concert so he would not want that. He would not even want to talk at the end just like what Chris told BTS when he had the surprise appearance at the PTD LA concert. Chris then said he will not say anything and just exit after My Universe. So this is what Jin also wanted to do since it is a Coldplay concert. But Chris told him that he would prefer it if Jin at least says something. So Jin just did the brief thank yous and I love you to Army. These just really shows the selflessness and humility of these people. such beautiful people, inside and out.

There are a lot of other details - so many! - and different ways to interpret them. But that's the center of it. His ship was repaired but he didn't leave, because she's his family and his home. She's the same age as ARMY. Jin said he was drifting without a purpose and then ARMY made him into BTS Jin. It's a really direct analogy. The song is a goodbye for now and a promise to come back, and the video adds a layer of "you are my home and my family." It's pure sweetness, really, the song is nothing but love and the video is nothing but love. (The jingle at the end is her bike bell.)

I saw this performance of The Astronaut in real time at a theater near me that was broadcasting the Coldplay concert live from Buenos Aires, Argentina. There weren’t many of us there, maybe 20 or so. But we all cheered when Chris (Martin), was introducing Jin. When Jin began singing it seemed like most of us knew the lyrics to a song that had just been released earlier that day. It was amazing to see a British band featuring a Korean superstar, singing in Korean and English to a mostly Spanish speaking audience which sang along with him. This was a Coldplay concert, with Coldplay fans, infiltrated by Army. It was by far the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. The mutual love, admiration and respect that BTSxCOLDPLAY have is definitely on display here. Thank you for reacting to this song. It is Jin’s gift to us, Army 💜

The brotherhood relationship between Coldplay and BTS members is so amazing to watch. They uplift one another, just listen to Chris intro to Jin’s bring a smile on my face. He share his concert with Jin so that Jin can make his final performance. I am in tears when I watched it live. Jin look so happy, giddy and teary too. We will support him always. The Astronaut is like a warm heart almost like a love letter to reassure us that he really love this relationship and will only be away temporarily. Also, thank you for your kind word for army.

About 3-4 years ago, Jin announced that his dream was to work with or meet Coldplay. Then, by a series of circumstances they worked with them for My Universe and he and Chris hit it off. So as much as this is a goodby song to Army, it’s also so heartwarming when we see Chris interact with Jin because we know what that means to Jin 💜💜💜

One other thing I want to mention it BST has a large fan base in Latin America. When their 2020 world tour had to be cancelled due to Covid we learned that they had planned to return to Latin America again. When they did perform again it was only a few concerts in Korea and the US. I Think having Jin met up with Coldplay in Argentina and that bringing the place of his last live performance was a way of letting those fans know BTS has not forgotten about. 😢

The storyline of the MV is that Jin is an alien astronaut who crash lands on Earth (opening scene). He is stuck on Earth but becomes friends with a little girl. One day he sees a beam of light that signals his spaceship is being repaired. He then runs/rides a bike to get to the spaceship. But before he goes, he notices the little girl isn't wearing her bike helmet and gives her his space helmet. As he makes his way to his spaceship, he remembers all of the times he spent with the little girl. By the time he reaches the repaired spaceship, he realizes he doesn't want to leave, so he goes back and finishes the crossword with the word family as he hears the little girl's bike bell ding and he's happy. I interpret it to mean that he "crash landed" in the idol industry when he'd originally had no intention of being an idol. It would have been like a strange planet for him, but he made friends with ARMY and now, when he has a chance to do something different, he chooses to come back to ARMY. Also, on his neck at some point, there is braille spelling ARMY. And the black blocks on the crossword spell "for ARMY" in braille. Also... Chris Martin from Coldplay is the news reporter on the TV.

They really are friends. Coldplay and H.E.R. Hung out with Jin in Argentina. The band has been bringing out Wooteo (the stuffed astronaut) after Jin went home. I’ll point out ARMY worked out a way to have purple lights at the show since and learning lyrics in a few days. Loved the “Kim Seokjin “ chants.

A couple of things: 1. Jin does a low growl in the song Dionysus. Maybe not exactly what you were talking about but the potential is there. 2. This week Rolling Stone released a video of RM interviewing Pharrell Williams, and one of the things that Pharrell asked RM, was about how he wasn’t crushed by the weight of responsibility when he could look at 100,000 fans and tell them to jump and they would all jump. It was a fascinating video. 3. Big Hit has announced that RM’s solo album will be released Nov. 25th, and also that BTS collaborated on a song with Pharrell on his new album. So we have a lot more new BTS music to look forward to.

I LOVE JIN for teaching me that, and thankfully I am now slowly getting to learn it by playing organ in a church in my neighbor since last year spring. (I’m Catholic😊).

When they collaborated with Coldplay for My Universe...BTS & Coldplay met up in the US and Chris gifted Jin his personal guitar that he used for decades. He wrote in the guitar WWH with his signature. Jin was so happy and perhaps the most successful fanboy ever (as he is vocal about his admiration to Chris & Coldpkay). Jin said he wkn't play on that guitar but would dislay it as a family heirloom in their house. I've watched both.. This MV has so many Easter eggs... The braille tattoo on his neck spells Army, it's also the place to check for a heartbeat, braille is meant to be touched, so if you touch Jins heartbeat Army is all over his heart, the lil girl is Army n she's about 9 to 10 yrs old same age as Army, he teaches her how to ride a bike so she can do it for herself when he's not around, the helmet is purple and it's for protection.. You guys remember how Jin was so nervous when he got invited to a movie premier cus he doesn't know the people but thank god ARMY was there to cheer him up, imagine this one singing live your solo song at a Coldplay concert with most of the audience are Coldplay fans (there's a lot of ARMY too). And he comes to this lenght just to say I LOVE YOU To say Until we Meet again everyone. And love how Coldplay gives Jin the stage and spotlight with all those fireworks and introductions.

Coldplay had ten almost sold-out shows in Buenos Aires when Jin's presence was announced. Only reseller stuff were available, but a few thousand tickets for returned / cancelled seats, a newly opened sector (which was under construction when the tickets were sold first) and a couple areas next to the main stage (added after the actual stage position was set) were put on sale the next day. (I couldn't get a ticket. I only managed for one for the movie theater stream) For the concert, ARMY organized to put purple lights on their cellphones, both with purple cellophane on the flashlight or by turning a purple image on. At a certain moment, when it was already night but the performance haven't started yet, they turned their "ARMY-signals" on. The pictures show purple lights scattered all around the stadium, but the two new areas are painted on purple

Jin actually did an explanation of the MV himself with his thoughts, and as others have said he indicated the girl is ARMY (when they say the same age as ARMY, from 2013 when ARMY began until now, not the age of most ARMY members 😆) so him giving the helmet and teaching to ride the bike = I am setting you up to protect yourself to be independent, but as he left to the ship and then turned around to come home he shows he will be back with us later 🥰 this video is lovely with a lot of little details

the reason BTS individual members are going on to produce such interesting and successful solo work is unlike traditional boy bands they are all equally talented and have been writting and contributing all along. They are notbprofuctsbof the creativity of others. Now they are able to branch out and fully express their individuality Before they fed into the group eclectic creative dynamic, so hopefully when they all get back together it will allow the group to continue to grow and not lose the energy of that creative boundary pushing group we all admire.

This music video and song are so special to me, and I've watched them so many times. There are so many little details in the MV - for example the black squares on the crossword actually spell out FOR ARMY in braille. So many little details!! I just love Jin so much. Like how many artists would fly 40 hours for a 5 minute performance just to make sure we know he loves us before he goes to the military. I was legit in tears watching it. The relationship between Coldplay and BTS is so precious, and seeing Jin with Chris as a big brother to him now is so sweet because Jin has been a fan of Coldplay for years. I think the only ways they "fail" live is if they're sick (but they know their limits so it's mostly them tuning their performance down or letting other members take their place), technical issues (i.e. they start being off-pitch, realize something is wrong, remove their in-ears and correct course) or they're laughing so hard they can't sing

I hope someone told you this, but if not: I presume you know this song is about and for ARMY, Jin’s “goodbye for now and I love you” for ARMY as he goes into the military. Generally when BTS are talking about or use symbolism of space, galaxies, moon, stars, etc, they are talking about ARMY. Also deserts and seas. In the video, he is an alien astronaut who crash lands on an unknown world (Earth)and the girl represents ARMY (because the fandom is 10 years old) and she taught him how to love and be happy and open his heart. He gives her his helmet to say “be safe and take care of yourself while I’m gone.” He goes away to his ship because he sees it is being repaired (the beam) and will leave and take him away. This represents him going away to the military. But instead of boarding the ship he changes his mind, remembering his love for the girl and his new life. So he turns back and returns to the home he found, full of symbolism of BTS & ARMY. This represent him returning to ARMY and BTS after the military time. “I’m going away for a while, but I will return to you.” At the end he smiles warmly and he hears the bicycle bell of the little girl. ARMY is there waiting for him when he returns. Jin is the astronaut because he was wandering through space aimlessly, as the lyrics say. He was just living his life in S Korea, going to school and figuring out who he wanted to be, when he crash landed into the whole new world of music, BTS & ARMY as if by accident (because he was randomly found on the street by a casting agent for Big Hit and had no musical experience.) The random astronaut he encounters on the street in the video is a nod to that moment. He struggled at first to find his feet and feel like he belonged there, just like the alien doesn’t show emotion and seems confused and lost in the beginning of the video. But BTS & ARMY (the little girl) showed him how to be happy and feel at home there, to find his talents and passion, and the love grew between them. There are a ton of other little Easter eggs in the video, particularly in the bedroom.
