Detailed Kubota SVL Polycarbonate Windshield Installation without Removing the Frame

Жыл бұрынIn this video we give you a long and detailed installation of a polycarbonate windshield being installed in a Kubota SVL skid steer. All models of the SVL have the same size windshield frame, SVL65, SVL75, SVL95, and SVL97 so this polycarbonate door will work on any of them.

Excellent instructional video. Thank you for producing it. If you don't break the original glass before hand like was shown in this video, how do you separate the tempered glass pane from the frame? Do you just slide your knife between the two?

Yes just use a blade from a carpenter knife and cut between glass and frame...

What size grommets did you use and where can I order them from? I can’t seem to be able to find them anywhere

The grommets used were the ones that come with the hardware from Kubota for the glass door. Get with your local dealer.

On our SVL 95 2S the top handle is on the outside of the glass from the factory. You installed it on the inside. I use that handle to close the door to latch from the outside of the machine. Is that correct to reverse it to the inside?

LOL, no you are correct. They installed it on the wrong side. It should be installed on the outside so that when you get out you can pull the door closed.

Does it scratch easy?

It has a coating that is applied to it after it is formed and cut. It helps with scratch resistance but no polycarbonate is scratch resistant.
