Hi all and thank you for stopping by my channel to check out this 2021 Land Rover Defender 110X review. This 2020 Land Rover Defender 110X comes in Gondwana Metallic Stone paint and we absolutely love it. You can also spec your Land Rover Defender 110X in Pangea Green, Eiger Grey, Santorini Black, Hakuba Silver, Carpathian Grey, and Silicon Silver. However, if it were my money, I am going with Gondwana Stone paint on my Land Rover Defender 110X.
In this 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 X Review, I do my best to convert the exterior, engine, interior and give you some driving impressions on the Defender 110 X. This Land Rover Defender 110 X features a turbocharged inline-six engine making 395 hp @ 5,500 rpm and 406 lb·ft @ only 2,000 rpm. Most impressively, the Land Rover Defender 110 X can tow 8,201 pounds! The one negative is the 2020 Defender 110 X does require premium fuel.
I have to say one of the areas the 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 X shines is in the exterior and interior design. We loved the Defender 110 X's design language, how Land Rover made the Defender new and modern while still keeping some of the classic historical design language. For example, with the 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 X you can see the headlights, the overall shape, the rear windows, and some of the interior designs do have a resemblance to the classic years. The Land Rover Defender was originally built as a WW2 vehicle, but it was mostly sold to civilians throughout the 1980s to I believe 2017. Thus, Land Rover has been working on the new Defender 110 X for some time. Check out our 2020 Land Rover Defender 110X review to see how they did!
I will say the spec on this Land Rover Defender 110 X is absolutely on point. It has the sweet 22 inch wheels, black contrast roof, vintage tan/ebony interior, walnut veneer, heated leather steering wheel, towing pack, cold climate pack, premium protection package, front under shield, three-zone climate, classic mudflaps, bright rear scuff plate and more. The base Land Rover Defender 110 X is $83,000, but this one comes in over $97,000! But I just think the owner nailed it with his Land Rover Defender 110 X spec.
One of the areas I was personally surprised with the 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 X was the torque and overall peppiness from the inline-six engine. I was frankly shocked by how well the Land Rover Defender 110 X moved. It says 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds and I got to say the Land Rover Defender's engine is surprisingly adequate for only being a 6 cylinder. Because the Land Rover Defender 110 X is an efficient turbocharged six-cylinder powerplant, it actually gets pretty good fuel economy at 17 city and 22 highway. You can also hear the 2021 Land Rover Defender's turbo spool. And with some minor exhaust modes, I bet the aftermarket community will make these things sound great.

Bro this SUV is freaking 🔥 The fact that it can tow 8,200 pounds and gets 22 MPG is impressive. It’s also shockingly quick 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds. All from a 6 cylinder too. And yeah the interior is just as cool as the exterior design. Owner had to wait 16 months to get one...

This Defender is AWESOME ! I've put in my order for a 2023 defender 110 X and its exactly like this one, Eiger gray with the vintage tan and black leather interior. My son and I can't wait to receive it. Delivery is supposed to happen in mid August 2022. So very excited to get it !!!!!

@@beyondhometown this is by far the most comfortable vehicle I have every owned and a really fun drive! Lots of power (P400) and really nice breaking. I had a few issues with the electronics at first but that turned out to be a bad battery … this vehicle is a computer on wheels, but I’ve had no problems since. Interior and upholstery are wearing well and still look like new, I’m careful with it butI don’t baby it. Great off road capabilities once you figure out all the modes etc. I’m not a crazy off roader but it does very well in rough terrain. Some times I find the cargo area a bit tight and I’ve been looking at the 130 model. I have the Defender X, I talked to a guy that had the base model and he found the seats not so comfortable and the upholstery not so great. All in all a pretty nice truck.

Thanks for the video. I brought mine home today in Carpathian Gray! Also, if you dont have the 3rd row seating, you do have a cubby below the deck in the cargo area. Also, in addition to the vinyl mats, i have carpet floor mats for front and rear seating areas. Sticking with the vinyl for now...

Adam, thanks for taking the time to do a review of my new Defender 110x. As you pointed out, the wait on this car was extensive - when I put my name on the list with the dealer and initially spec'd it out, I didn't give much thought to how long it might take to get here. In fact, as time passed, Covid hit and delivery timeframes were extended months beyond what was originally anticipated, I started to think about just canceling my order. Then I started to hear from the dealer and others that people who were way down the list, or just didn't want to wait, were willing to pay as much as $30k over invoice, I figured I'd just hang in there and maybe flip the thing when (or if) it ever arrived. When it finally got here a little over a week ago and I was able to actually see it, touch it and experience it, I couldn't even think about letting it go. For all the reasons you have pointed out in your review, this is perhaps the coolest car I've ever owned, and I've ovned a lot of cool cars ranging from the R8 to the Range Rover Sport SVR. Again, well done - you did the car justice and I know all the car enthusiasts that follow you here or on social media will appreciate the effort. By the way, the seats are cooled in addition to heated - you just have to turn the knob to the left instead of to the right :).

@@jeannieandrade6362 The colour is called Gondwana Stone … Gondwana was an ancient supercontinent that broke up about 180 million years ago. The continent eventually split into landmasses we recognize today: Africa, South America, Australia, Antarctica, the Indian subcontinent and the Arabian Peninsula. The colour goes very nicely with the brown and tan leather interior of the Defender X.

Defender 110X interior design is well, 5 years ago I been deal with Range Rover Evoque I find out the gear knob are disuse and back to handle type and I will giving two thumbs up for multi media interfaces really prolific playability.

Nice. I took delivery of my 110x in October. The absolute best vehicle I’ve ever driven. I spec’d mine in Santorini black, explorer pack, air compressor, cold air package, tow assist package.... My only complaint is that the LRUSA website stated that the X came standard with Matrix LED headlights.....it does not.

@@me2ontube the X model is the top trim line with a lot of standard features that are optional on the other trim lines. It also has some features that are exclusive to the X, and aren’t available even as an option on the other trims.

Love the color and the interior. Im glad you showed the sun roof closing. That was going to be one of my questions. My brother had an older Landrover that was only a 4 cylinder and it was slower than hell. No pep. I would recommend anyone who buys a land Rover, get the 6. It's no fun driving a vehicle with no pep in it. Land Rover, get your shit together, your car is to damn heavy for a 4 cylinder.

does anybody know if the new defender has a way of stiffen the suspensions while riding on road (as opposed to off road where I am expecting them to be soft) ? I have driven a 90 yesterday but I had this feeling of an ever soft ride although the "adaptive dynamic suspension" package was available on the vehicle I tested.

I do recall there were many settings to adjust, and you should be able to dial in the ride height and dampening.

Great review. I have a Defender X with exact same color and spec's but no Roof Carrier. I wonder if you hear noticeable wind noise coming from the roof rack?

The roof rack does add a bit of road noise at higher speeds but not, in my opinion, enough to justify not adding it given what it contributes to the overall aesthetics of the vehicle. I hope you enjoy your X.

I'm confused. I noticed the ones without the 3rd row seat is missing the rear AC controls, two vents, and that gray box on the left which I assume has something to do with this rear AC system, and the ones that do have the 3rd-row has the rear control knob, two vents, and this box. Why does this one without the 3rd-row have all these except the vent on the passenger side C-pillar?

That is a good question. I’m thinking they do come with the knob and vents ready to go on all 110X, and you can add the third row at any point unless spec from factory.

You didn't get into ig.you were pushy footing it. I watched a lady drive and one earlier and she nailed it for quite a stretch of a strait away and it sounds bad ass .she had a ranger try to keep up with her and was way back when she let off. It is quick for a very heavy vehicle. You have to be half nuts or very rich to take o e of them off road in really rough back country. This thing is so nice there's no way on earth I would take it off road . I keep my 2010 LR4 HSE in tip top shape and clean all the time.120,000 miles now and absolutely love it. It's so fun and enjoyable to drive .all I've had to do to it is change the upper control arms and change out the hood latch because of the horn going off.but that was just once and bought the latch from a LR dealer.ive heard guys have bought after market latches and they end up having to replace not to long down the road. So there ls something to be said for buying genuine parts for your vehicles. Ok I have to apologize you did finally get into the gas a few times as I'm listening to you whole typing these. comment . I just hate that TFL or whatever there name is had the issue with the two they had .leave it to JAGUAR LAND ROVER to do something stupid and cause themselves issues right off the bat.and whats crazy about it is it doesn't seem to matter who owns the company.theyve all done the same damn things and cut corners or just failed in diferent areas of the LAND ROVERS, RANGE ROVERS and JAGUARS . why can't they just get it all right for one fricken time so we don't ha e to listen to the bullcrap about whats gone wrong this model yr. Always something and its so aggravating to us owners. There not a cheap vehicle to repair with ridiculous costs of parts and especially labor. But as I said I've been lucky with mine but there's been so many issues with others. Its like they rush to get them out on the lots and forget the quality aspects of the vehicle . Oh well thanks for the review of this beautiful defender.i can't wait until they are in the states for a period of time where I can actually feel good about buying one and not deal with working the expensive bugs out of it.let someone else do all that and I will get one with 5 or 6 yrs on it. Should be down to $65,000 by then LOL

Yeah they will depreciate especially as ICE vehicles become less and less popular. So far the owner has not had an issues, so it appears it was mostly the 4 cylinder version, and Land Rover did make it right with those guys by giving them the 6 cylinder version at no extra cost.

Typical Toyota maxi, keep falling for the marketing. Behind on tech, terrible mpg , dated interior and power trains … Sacrifice many things modern trucks have…and justify it by saying “it’s bullet proof”. Meanwhile hardly anyone keeps their vehicle past 5 years.

Not that I can recall. I do recall wind and speed does cause movement as the car is not that aerodynamic being so boxy.

Excellent review. But its a ok SUV/truck.... no 3rd row sitting and needs to be longer like the real Defender and higher!

I like everything about it. BODY. Rear end is vertical for maximum storage space all the way to the door. One thing I find odd is it doesn't have Land Rogers iControl--which includes Auto Park Assist. The Velar has it. Discovery Has it. Ranger Roger Sport has it. And the flagship RR models should have it. So why not the Defender?? ODD. And as "capable" as LR are known to be...99% will only be driven in the city. Babied. :)
