I finally set up my Pressure washer / Car wash bay at my shop. This is a simple solution that works prefect and is easy to do in your garage. Here is the break down of the items used so you can set up your own pressure washer system at home in your garage!!!
See the items I use and join the mailing list at: www.DTLRsupply.com
Pressure Washer Reel and Kit: amzn.to/2GE1sXM
This kit includes almost everything you need, hardware, lead hose with an M22 fitting (some pressure washers use m22x15 and some use m22x14 im not sure what the lead hose is in this kit.. Someone said its an m22x15 but someone else said they used is with a ryobi pressure washer which i know uses an m22 x 14! so i would suggest ordering these adapters to be safe and returning them if you dont need it
m22x15 to m22x14 adapter: amzn.to/35og7AY
m22x14 to m22x15 adapter: amzn.to/3itIrpj
m22x15 pressure washers:
Generac, Simpson, Briggs Stratton, craftsman, karcher, Ryobi and more
m22x14 pressure washers:
Sun Joe, Campbell, MI-T-M, AR Blue, Stanley, Cleanforce, Simoniz, Excell and more
If you use the hose i did, you will need a quick connect fitting.
Quick Connect for Hose to Reel: amzn.to/33gULCG
Pressure Washer Hose: amzn.to/3bIMVWb
Spot Free Water system: amzn.to/2Re0kMJ
Teflon Tape: amzn.to/2DQn16E
Pipe Thread Compound: amzn.to/3mbnd1I
Pressure Washer Wand: amzn.to/3ig0YFt
Quick Connect Assortment: amzn.to/35mBhPN Can be used to connect pressure washer wand to the hose!
Pressure Washer in Video (this is a m22x15mm connecter): amzn.to/3m6qsHn
My Old faithful pressure washer that i have used for years(m22x14mm): amzn.to/35lxl1N
Rack unit used to mount everything to: amzn.to/2R8sXeh

2nd from San Diego 🇺🇸 awesome instructional video Josh. Thanks for making it easy to setup one. Love your shop. Love the fact you show some of the mistakes that comes with setting up something new which happens to us all. You showed how to overcome those mistakes and keeping it real. Your honest videos keeps us from making those mistakes and that’s a plus in my book. Thanks 🙏 Josh

Hi, thanks for the great content! Do you have more than one air compressor? If so why? I’m looking to buy one for car detailing but I only expect to use it for cleaning pads. If I needed something larger, please help me understand what I would need and why. Thanks!

That's the Active VE52 right? It's an awesome pressure washer and I have it, purchased it through Amazon about 3 months ago. I wish they have it with wheels though but having now a 50' hose didn't need to move it around, but with wheels it would make it easier to move when you have a bit of back pain in case you need to move it. If you are mobile Detailing it's also an excellent unit, powerful, quick and quiet, still very lightweight and doesn't have that hissing sound at the end that most electric pressure washers have. Love your blue car.👌👌👌

Active will be releasing their follow up to the VE52? I think it's called. The active 2.0. 2.0 for the actual GPM that the unit will be capable of. Right now I think the VE52 is something like 1.8-1.9 maybe I don't know. They are also releasing a stubby gun for pressure washers in a few months after the release of the 2.0. Just something to keep an eye out for. They make an absolute unit for a electric pressure washer with the 5 piston pump they have a patent on and all.

2.0 looks like it will redefine the category, it’s such a game changer price/performance wise if the demos and specs turn out to be true.

Wanting to ditch my overkill gas unit on wheels for an electric wall setup in my garage. Thoughts? What is your favorite unit for this type of setup? Not a detailer, just a guy who wants to do his own vehicles. Also have a soft water hook up. Is that good enough for what I'm doing or do you recommend other water treatments?.

I love my Ryobi 1600psi electric p.w. Given me no problems and has a 3 year warranty, I believe. Tried the Karcher but preferred the Ryobi. To me, it is more responsive. For home use on 2 cars, works great. Can't comment about soft water.

How often do you have to swap out you DI (rinseless) tank? How many cars can you get finished with a tank that size? Your setup really seems to fit you to a tee. It's nice when a plan comes together like the way you have it. Great job!!!
@imjoshv
@imjoshv 3 жыл бұрын
I think the tan is rated for 1000 gallons but it depends on how dirty you water source is. They rate it by parts per million and i guess based off the average is should yield 1000 gallons. However, at my shop i get about 2000 gallons before it needs to be swapped out so i guess my water source at the shop is better than average
