If you're looking to replace a gas pressure washer and want all the power but with the ease of an electric power washer, then you've probably seen the Greenworks Pro 2700psi and the Greenworks Pro 3000psi. They are more expensive than other electric pressure washers from the big box stores. With the highest psi ratings ive seen on an electric pressure washer... are they worth the price and do they actually get those numbers? ENJOY!

RE: motor fluctuation, yep it is supposed to do that. "Digitally controlled brushless motor automatically adjusts maximum pressure and flow appropriate for specific nozzle tip in use" The constant on is to make it like a gas washer. "Continuous-run motor and pump operate like gas-powered pressure washers, offering the best pressure and flow response in the industry; thermal relief valve purges hot water from pump to cool it down during constant use" Would be nice to see the numbers with a full set of 4.0 and 4.5 nozzles. Should be right around 1,000 with one of those I'd think.

I returned to say thank you again for your reviews. I was torn between the higher GPM of the Greenworks Pro 2300 and Ryobi 2300 models and the higher psi of the 2700 and 3000 Greenworks Pro models. In the end I purchased the 3000 psi model after calculating the cleaning units and because the delayed ramp up of the 2300 would have driven me bonkers. I just powered it on for the first time and man I am not disappointed. It has just as much if not more power than my 2500psi gas unit and a lot less noise. The pressure does not seem to fluctuate as much on start up as seen in your video which is great. One think I noticed and have already fixed is it would always sound like it had air in the line when priming it before powering it on, the problem was the large soap bottle. Its literally sucking air into the line if the bottle is empty. I pulled the clear tubing from the pump side and capped the nipple. Issue resolved, water now flows with no burbs. Lets home it lasts, thanks again.

How did you end up capping the nipple? I've got the 2300 and the clear tubing seems to be glued on to the pump. If I cut it there will be an open nipple at the pump which will still suck air in

Just wanted to say thank you for the incredible detail. I ended up buying the 2700 and am pretty happy. I thought the fluctuation in pressure was going to be annoying but it really doesn't bother me. And the 3.5mm nozzles yield great foam from CG Snow Foam despite having hard water.

I ended up getting the 3000psi model to use around the house as well as for car washes. I noticed in your review it seems to show the 3000psi unit runs at about 1000psi with the 3.5mm orifice tip but in the ending overview chart it shows 1900psi. I just wanted to confirm that is a typo before I use it on my car. Thanks for all your work on these!

Hi, is it safe to use 3000 psi to clean wood fence? If so, is it much faster than a 2300 psi? For the 3000 psi unit It seems like a 40 degree nozzle should be used or 25 degree but spray far out?

23:03 the pressure washer is probably setup with a pressure relief valve set at 3000 psi. Pressure Relief Valves control upstream pressure. When the trigger is closed, the motor rotates the pump, compressing the fluid, and then dumping it over the relief valve and then back to inlet. The hose is connected upstream of the relief valve and after the pump, thus your gauge sees the full pressure of the relief valve. When you pull the trigger, the pressurized fluid now has an alternate path of escape, so it shoots out the nozzle. Remember that fluid always takes the path of least resistance. This results in the relief valve closing and lower pressure at your gauge (path of least resistance). The two different states of the relief valve opened and closed account for the different sound. The system works harder when the trigger is not pulled, as the motor and pump is doing its max work. When open, less work is done, with equally less resistance for the motor pump. If you use an ammeter, you will be able to see higher amps drawn with trigger closed, and lower amps with trigger pulled. I'm not a hydraulics expert but as a mechanical engineering I have dabbled in simple hydraulic system design.

I work at Lowe's and I'm not surprised it has damage out of the box. It's not a return is a miss handled product. The guys that load the trucks are expected to load so many items in a pre selected time this causing damage to products. It happens all the time especially with appliances. I bought a push mower but when I got it home the front wheels where bent at a 45° angle.

@natesewell9402
@natesewell9402 Жыл бұрын
You should not run more than 12 amps for extended periods of time on a 15 amp circuit. 15 is the peak it will handle for short periods, but if you continuously run above 12 it will overheat. Basically, AC electrical circuits are only rated to handle 80% of their peak for extended periods. Also, something that runs at 14 but isn't a steady speed is likely to peak over 15.

Great review! Thanks for making it. The fluctuation of the motor and the sound it is making is part of the design. The jet flow technology or whatever they call it is probably a mechanical limiter that detects how much pressure is going through the machine. If the motor is not hitting that limiter the pump kicks in harder until it hits the limiter. I probably didn't explain it very well but I hope that the idea gets across anyways.

NEVER use Teflon tape or any other thread sealant on a fitting with o-rings. Remember, the seal is created by the o-rings, not the threads. Putting anything extra into the threads just creates risk of contaminating the o-ring seal, so you're more likely to do harm than good. Even if you tried, you could never seal a set of straight threads under 3000 psi with Teflon tape. Even in high-pressure hydraulic systems with threaded connections (tapered thread, since the seal is created at the threads themselves as designed) Teflon tape is never recommended, only an approved liquid thread sealant. Teflon bits can get into the fluid and damage components like the hydraulic pump which has very close tolerances.

You seems to say that is the best pressure washer 2300 psi from it’s class ( compare to ryobi and the others) My question : is the Greenworks 2000 psi is the best of it’s class (with Uber flex hose) compare to the 2300 psi ? Watch do I lose if l choose the 2000 psi model (except 10 years warranty on motor with 2300 psi model) for car and around the house cleaning ? I just bought the Greenworks Pro 2700 Psi unit brand new sealed in box on craigslist for $225, and it came with a brand new sealed in box 12" greenworks 2300 psi surface cleaner. I think I got a pretty good deal. I was looking for an electric washer primarily for detailing my cars. I already had a brand new Simpson belt driven gas pressure washer rated at 4200 Psi @ 4+GPM, with a Honda GX390 engine. For gas powered... Belt Driven is the way to go, it really saves your pump and engine from a lot of wear and makes both last a lot longer. The gas one is just a little overkill with the GPM flow, particularly with my whole house reverse osmosis system in my house in FL, it would just drain the tank too quickly for no reason...we just bought the house, so in process of remodeling, and will probably either replace the current 300 Gallon tank with something bigger like 500-700 Gallons, or maybe just add a secondary tank. Anyway, between the two, I think I got my needs covered. Now I kinda want the OG version of the Obsessed Garage Mosmatic spray gun...to replace my MTM Aqualine SGS-35 gun. I'll probably sell the MTM gun...I only used it like twice last season. Kinda want the various Mosmatic connections too, but hard to justify paying $55+ for a quick connect, when an MTM stainless steel one is like $10.

@@adamg.1845 For me those two are two different machines. The 2300 is more of a home gamer unit, the 2700 is a bit more robust. It has a proper induction motor, a better frame setup in case you wanna customize later, etc. Given the choice I'd go with the 2700 or the 3000 if thats all you need. Probably your best bet for electric pressure washers before going actual commercial electric, like Kranzle, Pressure Pro, Northern Tool, etc...The one annoying thing with the 2700/3000 is they don't come with a Start/Stop system, so you have to manually power them On/Off everytime.

The cover is different, the start/stop may be different (as I spoke w/Greenworks), and the largest issue is they abandoned the Uberflex 25' (blue) pressure hose in favor of a 3,000 psi-rated (black) pressure hose stating: this “new” hose is a better fit than the Uberflex hose as this is their highest-pressure unit, yet I asked and they have had NO ISSUES with the Uberflex hose. Seems a $30 downgrade to me. I'm sharing as you may be able to review this "new" GPW3001 against its original GPW3000 we all had watched on this channel!

I have confirmed you get the generic Black hose with the BestBuy unit as well. When you ask Greenworks what hose you are getting they say it is a UberFlex Propulse hose. I can confirm it is not. The Lowes unit is still the GPW3000 with the UberFlex hose. Maybe they are being switched out though.

I have the newer 3001 unit and l can tell you that that black hose is braided steel and the blue uber flex is garbage. I bought the 50' uber and returned it once l saw how cheap and light weight it was. The uber does kink if bent hard enough!

4:15 Teflon is not needed as the threads are straight threads and do no perform any sealing function. Air and water will leak through straight threads. The sealing is function is provided by deformation of the o-ring into the mating boss. The straight threads are strictly to provide the mechanical connection. This is in contrast to NPT Pipe thread which is tapered, and relay on both thread deformation coupled with a sealing agent (sealing compound and/or Teflon tape) to make the mechanical air/fluid seal.

Is any one else curious about if the 3K PSI model can get a higher GPM with a larger orifice? if a 4 or 4.5 was added, shouldn't that drop the PSI more and raise the GPM?

Hello, I was wondering if you have a larger orifice than the 3.5mm to test? I was thinking if a 4.0 or 4.5 exists then would that give you close to 2gpm with a 1400-1500 psi?

UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust kzfaq.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

You spoke about whether the units can be run vertically? Once you attach the garden hose you run a sharp bend if you keep it vertical, if it rest horizontal you get a 100% straight travel for water flow efficiency. Hoses make a huge difference in elbows 90 degree with plumbing but here its not a 90 bend but a stiff hose would not rest comfortably vertically. I purchased the GreenWorks 3,000 PSI today 25% off for Black Friday and so I got it for $299 rather than $399.

You probably already know this by now, but the way that motor starts, sounds like their using soft start technology. Which is a good thing, it's what will allow that motor to last longer. Also the ramping up and down is way better on the motor then it stopping and starting all the time, all of this puts way less strain on the motor and is far more energy efficient. The old ways of starting and running a motor was always pushing the motor to its maximum capacity whether it needed to or not. And motors really don't like the frequent stop and start, it wears them out much faster. So, that's actually a great selling feature, it tells me that the motor will last longer and raises my interest in this brand a lot more then it was!

I recently just bought one about 2 months ago and I love it but I also had the same issue that you had where it seemed like mine was a "return" product as the handle bar had the same indent. I used a needle nose plyer to bend it back out but as you said, for a 400$ unit, QA should be a lot better.

I had this unit and broke after 3 uses at home for washing my car... the machine would not have power when I squeezed the trigger, well actually it would have it for a split second and gradually whine down and the psi and gpm went down to where u squeeze water with the motor off... I saw other reviews having this similar issue! 2x it did trip my power lol. Well my worst part of it all is I went back and forth between lowes and the company greenworks itself of how I could get it replaced or my refund since I was fed up. After 3 entire months lowes decided to be the bigger person and just give me store credit for it and thats when I saw the 2100 psi craftsman and I've had zero issues with power surge and zero issues with the performance and reliability of it. Also I got the machine for sale since it was an open box missing the turbo nozzle and got it for 40 bucks cheaper! And all in all the greenworks 3k psi went for 500 while this craftsman barely broke over 100. Psi difference isn't noticeable really at all and it has more gpm than rated (according to the review he did with it I believe he got 1.25 gpm or something) I just got my mjjc in the mail today and will test it tomorrow with the 1m1 orfice but I do have hard water so I know it still won't be as good as his foam with the water softener. Greenworks after a while wouldn't even answer my calls so it had the worst customer service in my opinion. Lowes wasn't trying to give me a hard time but I ordered it online thru their website since they don't carry it in stores therefore couldn't give me a refund for it.

Wow I've learned a lot from watching your videos.I had no idea thadd.There was a difference in orifice.Sizes with different power washer tips.But after looking at a gas price when I have with higher GPM. VS a smaller electric with a much lower GPM. I could see a noticeable difference in the orifice size with the tips that came with the pressure washer. So for washing a car I'm thinking of getting a 3.5 orifice 40° for my green works 3000 ps. I pro I saw you testing that and that seems like. There would be a decent amount of water output to get the soap from the phone can't leave quicker

I have the 3000 PSI Greenworks from Costco and you really need to use the turbo nozzle when cleaning sidewalks and driveways, unless you're only dealing with minimal amounts of dirt/moss. The surface cleaner just takes too long to remove any decent amount of buildup.

That’s funny, I actually started filming a similar video on my GPW3000 yesterday because nobody else had made one with pressures or GPM yet, and then you post one today 🤣 Interesting pressure readings though. Mine only made 2000-2200 with the 15° as opposed to your 2700. With the 25° I got 1800-2000 as opposed to your 2200. 40° I got 1800-2000 as opposed to your 2200. Mine also fluctuated a bit which is why there’s a small range of pressure with each tip. Not sure why it was doing that. My GPM’s were also slightly lower at around 1.15-1.2 GPM for all tips besides the turbo and soap. Those were almost to 1.7 GPM. Kinda weird, and I’m jealous yours performs slightly better lol. Great video as always!

Odd I just purchase a new Greenworks GPW3001 unit and can confirm the supplied Black hose is not an UnberFlex ProPulse hose. I called Greenworks and they told me the UnberFlex is the supplied hose. I have compared both hoses the supplied Black hose is not a UberFlex ProPulse hose. Maybe ProPulse is making and supplying the hose to Greenworks but it is a completely different design. I also noticed the power button has been moved to black trapezoid area.
