The car hasn't been washed by anything but rain for the entirety of Ben's ownership, so when our buddy Daniel at Automotive Aesthetic offered to detail a car for us, we had the perfect challenge for him.
In this video, Daniel talks through his 3 main steps of cosmetic car care, and cleans up the Subie while he's at it.

@@team3383 Some people just drive through carwashes, or just take that bucket they've used for months with rocks all over and really don't take of their cars. Just because you may know how to wash your car, does not mean you understand how to, and it's the same for others.

Andrew GT-B You can make your own. I measured my buckets then bought a cheap plastic plate and drilled holes in it and it works great. I do admit it's not best but it's a budget hack.

Edison Chan My local dollar store has serving plates the same size as my bucket. another idea is a strainer for pasta. get one that's plastic cut the stand off sand it smooth and put it in the bucket upside down. you can rub the mit across the surface and the dirt comes off and all you do is wash it and your good

Automotive Aesthetic should have their own channel. I’ve watched their other detailing videos on Gears and Gasoline and just can’t get enough of the care and time they put into their work. It is so satisfying and make me want to learn more about their process to detailing. Fantastic job guys !

I mean it's because he's a pro-detailer, there's a regimen to it. People doing a regiment different from this are doing it wrong so you're gonna hear a lot of the info. Plus the ChrisFix video has a ton of wrong information in it that this doesn't have.

Hey, great job. Thats the proper way to do it. I unfortunately never do it right. I only wash it once maybe twice a year. But I do it like your doing it and it always turns out pretty good. Mines 20 years old and its at your five hour level every year.

Man, no other Subaru OEM paint comes ALIVE after a detail like Obsidian Black Pearl! Automotive Aesthetic did a primo job on the workhorse Forester, and 4 hours no less! Please let us know what Ben decides to get when the Forester finds a new owner! :)

I'd love me a nice cinematic rust repair video. Repairing to the extent of cutting and not just sanding, that is. it would be something new and compeletely original. Now, for this to happen i get that you'd need some way of funding the video, as well as a rusty af car thats worth repairing. Neither of which i can help you with unless i win the lottery and you feel like coming to Norway. :D

Man, I have a 2001 Forrester that needs some rust repair on the quarters. I may just have to video it when I finally get around to fixing it (which will definitely be the full fledged way of cutting out the old area and welding in new material).

Three years later you guys need to do a follow up video, but this time do it like you did with the WRX. I'd love to see a more in depth detailing with a car that needs serious love or that is being brought back to life. On a side note my girlfriend drives a WRX and I made her watch that video, we've sat and watched a bunch of your videos because your work is simply THAT good. So thank you for that.
