He just started his film career in 2013 with the superhit movie 'Kai Po Che' and then he gave us some remarkable movies like MS Dhoni, Kedarnath, Chhichhore etc... Just 7 years old in the movie industry and now he is gone 😥

This was another movie that was good but not successful. Deserved a sequel. One can imagine how much Sushant was dissapointed this did not get more recognition.

Sequel was planned but cancelled eventually. Still it was a successful film, more critically acclaimed than commercially, but I saw this in the cinema. And I usually don't go for bollywood films in cinemas, it's trailer was soo good, I had to go and watch it.

Interesting that you speak of a similarity to Ranveer. Especially when you consider that Sushant Singh Rajput was actually Sanjay Leela Bhansali's first choice for Ram Leela. @@rahulray9983 Ranveer didnt snatch it He refused Ram Leela because he was starting work with Shekhar Kapur on Paani. Ranveer was the second choice so he got the role. Why are you spreading stupid rumors? Shekhar Kapur has himself said Sushant rejected many movies himself for Paani.

@@sushreepadhi YRF wasn't allowing Sushant to work with Bhansali but allowed Ranveer to do so... Sushant was allowed to sign "Paani" when YRF backed up the project and then Midway into it they backed out again hence halted the film

@@harshalpatil8522 Yeah so blame YRF why bring Ranveer into it?? And to all those people claiming Sushant died because of Bollywood groupism and backing of Nepotism . Let me state another example Ayushmann Khurrana isn't a product of nepotism but he didn't rely entirely on Dharma or YRF for his movie journey he worked with all kinds of directors and unknown producers even and see where he is now. It was one wrong decision of Sushant to just stick to one movie of Shekhar Kapur and after Shekhar Kapur backed out post the shelving of the movie he looked on other movies. His one wrong decision doesn't raise questions on everyone in the industry except for a few like Karan Johar, YRF and others backed by top producers.

This is like the origin story of Byomkesh. He grows more swanky and intelligent with time in Sharadendu Mukjerjee's Byomkesh. Hence, the vulnerability shown with Byomkesh, making mistakes getting beaten is quite legitimate and justified with the source material.

I remember when I had seen the film, although having no idea of Byomkesh Bakshi from the novel or serial, I felt that Sushant has done a tremendous job of conveying it that Byomkesh here is just a beginner, an amateur, and that he showed that vulnerability of just starting as a detective very well. And that, Yashraj will have to come up with sequels to explore the full range of the character and to show his (Byomkesh's) eventual expertise and mastery in his profession.

Sushant was a great human being he has great aspiration for space science and astrophysics he even got a giant telescope in his home and he is a national Olympiad gold medalist in physics. He even donated 1crore rupees each times for Kerala and Assam flood relief we lost a gem self made super star his infectious smile is breaking me all days

Actually the Bengali Byomkesh Baksi films are better... Dibakar wasted the opportunity to present Byomkesh to the Hindi audience But still this is one of the finest performances of SSR

I am from Kerala . I have never watched his movies . I have seen him in dhoni trailer and that's all. The night before his demise, I got a suggestion byomkesh bakshi which I watched . His film for the first time . I loved him so much ... I thought he is going to be a star.. the next morning I saw a status of my friend that sushant passed away . I was so stunned and sad ...

Many hidden facts have emerged regarding Sushant Singh Rajput... Here's the summary of everything that has come out so far.... • Since his debut film the industry cabal hasn't been very welcoming of him. • Having an Engineering background his interests and passion in Science and technology didn't match to that of the "conventional ethics"of Bollywood which wasn't appreciated. • The 10th grade failed Nepotism products didn't used to like the fact that they sounded dumb during their interaction with him hence the Boycott trend started. • There were attempts were made to mold him into their own shape like Karan Johar specified to him what to post,what not to post and how to behave in the media... • Got trolled, ridiculed and sidelined many a times for being an outsider. • He was nudged many times to go back to television "where he belonged" • Then two "Mistakes" he made for which he had to pay heavy price was choosing a Shekhar Kapoor's "Paani" over a YRF film and getting into a verbal spat with Salman Khan's close friend "Aditya Pancholi" • Salman Khan alongwith Karan Johar and his entire cabal of Nepotism products(Alia, Ranbir, Varun,etc) made sure that all the major studios YRF, Dharma, T-Series, Red Chillies, Bhansali, Balaji, etc Boycotted him... • The cabal made sure that "Paani" doesn't get funding and the project never took off • Most of the big projects he had signed like "Padmavaat", "Ram-Leela" and "Befikre" went to Ranveer Singh • Karan Johar stepped in to produce "Drive" made sure that this film turns out to be crap... • "Sonchiriya" could neither get a proper promotion nor release and even the emergence improper dubbed versions getting released in many parts of the country without the knowledge of the artists involved in it ruined it's prospects... • Yet after the success of Chhichhore when he finally started getting offers and signed upto 7 projects, all them somehow slipped away from him within 6 months...(Cabal at work again..) • Now just like Kangana Ranaut has predicted in her outburst the Bollywood script is being played out quite well. • From May 15th to June 4th all of his associates Disha Salian, Preksha Mehta and Manmeet Grewal have committed suicide but the media is busy propping up the name of Rhea Chakraborty to get into the angle of some possible tragedy of Love Story • The script as being narrated by Mahesh Bhatt is being played out to prove a certain mental illness that he was diagnosed with.... Boycott Bollywood and support Local/Regional films

To all those who don't know about Ranveer Singh's connections- He is distantly related to Anil Kapoor His grandmother Chand Burke was an actress,who also worked for Raj Kapoor The worst part is Ranveer's first film was funded by his father for Yrf ,a topic that still makes him uncomfortable. on top of.that he falsely projects himself as an outsider and a self made man !

And after Band Baaja Baarat all movies of his with YRF flopped. He was the second choice for Ram Leela first was Sushant who refused it for YRF and Shekhar Kapur's Paani. After Ram Leela SLB still wanted to cast Sushant in another movie but YRF didn't allow and later they backed off from Paani the reason being unknown. Watch Shekhar Kapur and Manoj Bajpayee's Instagram live conversation once and then YRF banned Sushant. Zoya Akhtar also offered Dil Dhadakne Do to Ranveer after Ranbir said no to it. It was the PR team strategy of YRF to present Ranveer as a newcomer to make BBB a hit. Because open the stats of YRF most of their films have been flop.

Yrf played politics with Sushant to promote Ranveer .they both were under contract but Sushant did not refuse the Yrf projects ,he was replaced by Ranveer..Sushant had to reject other projects to star in Paani ,out of which Yrf eventually backed off and they considered Ranveer for that too When someone's father funds their first film,when someone has grown up in the industry ,when someone has attended all filmy partis ,when someone is distantly related to Anil Kapoor-that person is not self made. I literally begged my parents for the last 1 and half years that no relative in our family should know that I am seeking psychiatric and psychological help for my depression. I have gotten better with help but had anybody known it their first words would have been"Has she gone mad? Why are you sending her to a mental wellness centre? "That is the general perspective of a person on mental health. My relatives taunted me for getting seizure attacks after a brain stroke as I was admitted in the hospital. Depression can only be understood by someone who has been through it or by someone who has seen someone undergoing it or the psychiatrists and psychologists.

They werent snatched away from him he refused to work on Ram Leela with SLB because he wanted to work with Shekhar Kapur in Paani. Later on for whatever reason YRF backed out of it And post Ram Leela SLB wanted Ranveer-Deepika pair in all his next movies. And Befikre also was refused by Sushant so nothing was snatched from him and given to Ranveer Ranveer was a second choice for many movies he has done including Dil Dhadakne Do with Zoya Akhtar.

The fact No One is talking about in the the comments is the most probable reason of his suicide. 2 years back, SSR declined the offer of a karan johar movie. After that Karan Johar and his "camp " made sure that no one offers him a Big Budget movie. And in Feb 2020, Karan Johar, Salman khan, Balaji Films and many other big directors producers boycotted him just for NOT being part of the herd. SSR was banned from releasing him films in theatre. The only option left for him was OTT platforms. Plz notice that after Feb 2020 his both movies Drive (Netflix) and one upcoming fim 'Dil Bechara' are scheduled only on OTTs. Bollywood is a deep shit hole. They all are responsible for SSR's death. Edit: Karan Johar also shut down SSR's dream film 'Paani' for which he rejected 5 films. And now they (karan johar and Salman) are showing their crocodile tears. Sushant had a fight with Suraj Pancholi in a party after which Salman made sure that no one offers any film to Sushant. Bcoz Salman is godfather of the criminal Suraj pancholi. Suraj pancholi is the prime suspect in forcing late actress Jiah Khan to commit suicide. She was pregnant at that time. Salman Sucks

I had just seen his 2 movies in which he played lead so didn't felt the loss so deeply until my mind wanted to know him more. And after trying to know him more and more now I feel sad for incident much more because he was such an intelligent person so much knowledge and skills he had collected in his bucket,had put in so much effort to learn diverse dimensions. I loved this film..being a Bengali I know about the two stories that was adapted to this film.. Satyanweshi and Arthomonorthom...both these two stories are not easy to adapt in to a two hour film...so both Dibakar and his co writer Urmi Juvekar did a phenomenal job..yes it was slow but it was intended in that way.. because it was a origin story of Byomkesh.. Dibakar Banerjee is a genius auteur..you guys need to see his other films..for me he is the most interesting and innovative filmmaker we have in India

No nepotism lobby there Sir Sushant refused Ram Leela for taking up YRF Shekhar Kapur movie Paani which was shelved by YRF later,Shekhar Kapur himself has said Sushant was so much involved in that film that he ignored many movie offers. And Padmavat wasn't offered to Sushant first but SRK. So Ranveer was always a second choice for both movies that he excelled in.Also he has gone on record and said he would have preferred Paani to Befikre.

the adaptation of the story was spot on. in the story itself, this is one of the first cases of byomkesh, while he was in college. so the acting and directing was great. sushant plyaed the character as it was needed to be played. i love this film. it didnt get the "hit film" stamp, but its one of the best detective films ever made in india, according to me.

I saw this movie with my entire family and we loved it, the pacing definitely was a problem but it's one of the spectacular version you could've witnessed. Ofcourse being a Bengali and exposed to many great Bengali crime and detective movies, I won't rate it too high, yet we enjoyed the confrontation and the cinematography. Thanks for the review.
