Hi Charlie, it looks so cold. This area don't look to bad. Pity about the vacant houses. Wish I cud experience snow like that. Where I'm from only rain, no snow.

Spent a week at volunteering at Camp Restore on Detroit's east side last summer. Those folks are trying hard to fix this area. But seeing all this with your own eyes hurts your sole. It truly is as depressing as it looks. It's going to take a lot of time and $ to make the area presentable.

I grew up on Manning and that neighborhood was very nice at that time. It's so sad to look back at my childhood home in that condition. I was even looking into purchasing the home.

My old neighborhood. It has changed a bit from the 50's and 60's. I remember the school near the end of the clip had a coal fired boiler. Shortly before they closed the school, they put in a gas fired heating system with air conditioning and all new windows. It was open for maybe 10 years after all the improvements. Every piece of equipment they put in was stolen.

I'd love as you drive along to see the time of now and the time of that building or structures prime beaming with activity. Detroit is a city dead and decaying. All that's left is the organisms feeding off its corpse. Beautiful in a way.
