Never understand why these large departments don't have EMS dispatched on every working fire

I dunno about all you armchair quarterbacks, but if I'm ever hurt on a call I hope the dispatcher on duty remains calm and collected like the ones on this call. As another commenter said, 'the dispatcher can't make EMS fly.'

It is to bad that there are many e.m.s. rigs parked behind a fence needing repairs. Several local philanthropists donated rigs to the fire dept. In my opinion it is not enough. In Detroit too many rigs are used for primary care for citizens to hospitals. Look up the video " no rigs available " sure the chief was excited one of his men was laying on the ground. To bad the dispatchers did not show urgency. DFD does the best it can with what it has.

Female dispatcher needs to get it in check, as does chief 5. She can't make EMS fly. Do they it dispatch EMS to all box alarms already?!

It seems as we have some arm chair dispatchers in here too......quick to criticize...but I assume you can do better....

dispatchers need to re trained on radio procedure that was the worse i have heard in a long time
