the loss of that building was also heartbreaking. Was former Empress/Edison Hotel and was 123 years old at time of fire.

33:08 this is any first responder's worst nightmare during a mass casualty. 1 patient is about to turn into 2. Half of me is like I wonder what happened did she get there safely and have the baby and the other half's like of course she did everything is fine mazel tov and seeing this as a silver lining, a rebirth of sorts.

19:09 that's some quick thinking on his feet. the bar and chain oil like what good are the chainsaws if they're not going to be oiled up? in a time of trauma that's how my mind works too, but any other time I'm completely scattered brained and would have totally forgotten about the bar and chain oil.

Well that’s a shame that the rig Rescue 5 had aka the 2002 E-One was involved in an accident and need massive repairs for the massive damage it had. God bless the FDNY from all the railfanners and fire buffs that could’ve seen the accident that day

My dad was in this accident, he’s the one speaking calmly in the beginning while you can hear someone panicking in the background. Luckily my dad got out unscathed and helped his fellow department members out. Ironically, he was very involved in the build of this engine. I’m very proud of my father and there is a lot of details in this incident I am not at the leisure to discuss. Nonetheless, this will always be a core moment of my life.

I witnessed a mother giving birth during the Tornado. The baby flew out and she was holding the baby by the umbilici cord while it was suspended in the air screaming. As she held on to the umbilici cord, it was swinging in circles like a Mexican pinata. What a sight!

This dispatcher is phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. And I’m pretty sure from other audio I’ve heard that she was working the PD side of things too. Absolutely insane. I won’t Monday morning quarterback but I’m sure that first Lt who initiated command was glad when someone else took over and he could go to work

Are there any EAS Tornado Warnings for this that exist on the internet? Not mocks, but actually in time alerts. Cause I have not found any.

Total chaos. It is extremely difficult to manage the logistics of a response of this magnitude. I don't know how many firefighters, LEOs, EMTs, Paramedics, and others responded to this, but it would be extremely difficult. I would imagine that there were hundreds at the very least. It would be overwhelming for the dispatchers. On top of that, it is impossible to run a drill to respond to a disaster of this magnitude. How do you know what the worst case scenario is until you've seen it first hand? All of these emergency personnel were as heroic as a person can be.

Nothing worse than a company not answering on the radio especially when it’s already a chaotic seen. Eng 51 need to get a refresher on radio communications like holding the button down before you speak and then when your done release the button. In all honesty he is embarrassing not only himself but his Department as well.

2-4 minutes is all it took for this tornado to go from nothing to the monster it became just as it crossed into Joplin The footage I saw of it at the beginning was terrifying it went from a thin funnel to a multi vortex wedge tornado in seconds

Once again showing us how useless cops are. This time the disbatch was just as useless. They csre more about staging area than trying to help people. Like jesus christ. These are their fellow brothers and they are in the staging area twiddling thumbs while people bleedout and die. Cops are SO freaking useless!! They never save anyone. If there is an active shooter, they become chickens and are to scared to go in and help people cause they might get shot. The heck is your job for then? Just to write tickets or pull over black people for being black? Like seriously cops are so pathetic.

This audio always makes my hair stand on end, no matter how many times I listen to it. God bless Seattle Fire. This was a scary situation for sure. One never truly knows how they will respond until actually faced with a situation. Yes, the battalion chief on scene was shaken by the situation, as anyone would be. Battalion 6, Engine 21, & Ladder 5 were at the scene investigating the gas leak when the whole area exploded, leveling the involved buildings. Anyone quick to criticize should put themselves in the chief's shoes here. You'd be shaken too, if you saw buildings where your coworkers (who you know well) were around explode, not knowing if they were alive or dead. True, it was 3 minutes into this recording before it was communicated to dispatch that there had been an explosion, which changes the whole situation (as they stated, generating a 2-11 response), but all in all, everyone did great & thank God no one was killed in this incident.

How many of the 9 people who were behind the theater died because the commander was too overwelmed and hyper focused on staging areas and not reaponding to serious issues. Iget dont panic, but if you cant handle the stress, please leave the position so that someone who can, can take over. There were many people in this call thatbsounded so much more organized than the commander. Yikes. Sometimes protocols get in the way of saving lives. Remmeber that when you are waiting for help in a life or death situaction. They have to follow a check list before they can help you. Mean while you bleed out and die whiling waiting..

Since when is a company not responsible for safety inside their own plant, on their property? When there is a deadly explosion, workers die, many more injured, but Kleen Energy denies responsibility and their lawyer's pay off the judges on the state supreme court. No, you people that were severely injured, or the families of the dead workers'received some penny anie workers compensation money, so that's all you get. This is BS!
