WELCOME TO THE D! Detroit, Mi for Soul Skate 2022. the Bi yearly annual skate party last held in 2018 before the pandemic is a massive worldwide recognized skate event held for the best of the best skaters. My good friend Ash featured in the end of the video made his was all the way from the UK to be a part of this monumental event. The skate event is held 4 nights on Memorial Day weekend. This video is from Friday and Saturday nights held at St. Bonaventure skating rink and Skate World of Troy skating rink.

I am in awe watching this. I remember skating at Skateland every Saturday from 1-5, 5-7, 7-10 and 9 until 1a.m. FAITHFULLY!! That was in the 80's. I can't stop smiling watching this!!

I grew up in Detroit and roller skating was HUGE in the 70s and 80s. We would skate at Royals (E-side) and Northland (W-side). It is time to bring this back.

I Always enjoyed skating! Back in the day I just skated in a circle and thought I was doing something. NOW, they're Stepping, Sliding, Gliding, doing tricks that's truly Amazing and I Love it all!! ❤

Love, love, LOVE your videos!! I spent all my weekends at the rink from ages 10 to 18. I'm disabled now, but watching your videos makes me grin ear to ear, the same fantastic feeling of flying. The skill level of all the skaters is off the charts, the dancing is amazing and your photography and slow-motion tricks are insane. Bravo!! You're one of my favorite KZfaq channels now.

Ha! As a kid Miller School Mondays and Wednesday at Kennedy, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Southwest Detroit, Rollercade, Westside Detroit, Northland, Carousel, East Detroit, Skateland Inkster Michigan. I wasn’t the best but I had a blast.🎶🎵🎼Goodtimes🎶

I grew up in Detroit roller skating at the Arcadia on Woodward 1968 it used to cost $.85 to get in and that 8:58 included your skates… we got a dollar from our mama and she didn’t see us for a long time…😅
