Dev Anand was most handsome and stylish Actor of Golden Era of Indian cinema. He started his acting career in late 40s with Bombay talkies and became popular due to Baazi suspense thriller of 1950s he continued with movies like Patita,Taxi Driver ,Munimji , CID highest grossing movie of 1956 , Funtoosh in which he played role of Mentally retarded person ,Paying Guest in which he played role of Lawyer , Nou Dou Gyarah, Kala Pani for which he received his first Filmfare award, Love Marriage in which he played role of Cricketer, Kala Baazar his role was a person who sells black movie tickets, Hum dono where he performed double role first time , Jab pyar kisi se hota hai, Asli Naqli, Tere ghar ke saamne his character was of Engineer, Guide an absolute masterpiece where he performed role of Guide , Jewel Thief probably best suspense thriller of that era , Johnny mera naam , Hare rama hare krishna, Gambler warrant etc. He started his own film production company Navketan. His other two brothers Vijay Anand and Chetan Anand were also associated with film production and direction. His movies had successful music mainly composed by his favourite composer SD Burman and he was mainly given playback by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and on few occasions by Hemant Kumar. Kishore Kumar sang about 120 songs for him and Mohammed Rafi about 100 songs .
