I really inspired by your speech . practice makes perfect. 1) listening same passage 10 times or more 2) reading same passage 10 times or more 3) imitation practice again and again 4) start to think in English .

Yes mam as you rightly said that English is a language because I know completely whole part of grammar portion and also I teach my students also and I can understand any tuff sentences but I can't speak English fluently this is my weak points when I watched your lecture then build up my confidence and motivate also

Prof.Roy is no doubt a learned professor who can do wonders in the teaching of English.If anybody wants to learn English he can rely on Ms Roy.Many of the English classes I happened to watch are worthless.Most of the teachers appear in the utube appear to be unfit for teaching English. As you rightly said that English a language and it can be learnt by listening and speaking. instead of focusing on grammar we should do practice of speaking.. There may be grammatical mistakes on your speaking but don't afraid of making mistakes because the more you practise the better and more you will learn..Just we didn't need to go any school , college or university to learn our mother tongue ,we learnt it by listening and speaking exactly same thing we have to follow..By practising everything can be achieved...I don't know whether my english is good or not but I will be practising until I become fluent.. if keep on practising sonner or later you Will definitely become master of this language..

I am solely agree with madam. As per her Reading, writing , Listening and speaking English every single day for next 6 month is very much needed to get command over English language and then only you can speak like a native speaker. Please remember , perseverance and consistency is the key for learning fluency. As per Madame 's idea , the day when you couldn't have practised , then don't eat or sleep on the day unless you ensured practicing 4 pillars of english minimum for 2 hours .Remember, regularity and constant Practice is everything on your journey of learning

I still remember the day I was here watching this video in order to learn English however, at that time, I could not comprehend well but I was so excited to watch this video owing to her! Now I am here after 4 years. Now I am good at English and I have an English platform where youngers are learning English. I would request you all that "never give up" keep doing your best! When Dr.Sashi Tharoor speaks, we can understand just 20%. But, when Sumita Roy speaks, we can understand 100%. Yes, Pronunciation & Clarity are the key in English speaking.... But, other 'experts' wrongly believe Accent & Speed are important...!

Hey, read what you wrote. Just a suggestion to help you out with building your Confidence. Try to make small conversations with people around you out of nowhere, and acknowledge how long we're you able to strech that conversation. Was the conversation getting boring for the listener? Did it get stuck somewhere or did you have to drop the conversation in middle because you did not know what to say or it got too boring for the listerner? Try to participate in office discussions not work related just casual conversations. Try to smile and nod and make eye contact if you can look them in the eye while making a conversation with them then you can figure out for yourself if you will be able to face an audience or not. Participate in English song singing or Karaoke nights it will give you an audience and a rhythm to comfort your anxiety and relax your nerve.

She is a good speaker. she is not only speaking slowly but explaining the psychodynamics to students with lots of examples. she is also speaking each and every word clearly ,slowly monosyllabic tone to stress on their mind. Madam, I am too much impressed by your lecture. I am classical artist. Pakhawaj is my instrument. I performed this instrument several times at Swami Vivekananda's Ancestors House and also Belur Math. I come from Bengal Midium School so my English vocabulary not so good. But I tried to develop myself long years slowly (not able to give times for my music profession). Now I am partly success.
