Funfact: American forrests are far more complex than european ones based on one circumstance alone. The major european mountain range runs east to west while the american mountain ranges run north to south. That lead to an big extinction of european tree species during the ice ages. American species could just move south and move back north afterwards while europeans just hit the alps and died out. Thats why the Americas have far more tree species than we have here in europe. For example there are about 30 oak species in europe wile there are 90 species endemic to the US and 160 to Mexico.

I definitely like the idea of an elevated metro perpendicular to a tram running along the couplet! It could be elevated through the lower suburban areas and perhaps cross the highway, and then sink it underground as it goes into your denser areas. near the big bridge.

Rannoch really starts shaping up nicely, the park looks great and the pitch fits so well on the edge of it. Looking forward to the first town center design and which public transport you end up doing in the couplet.

Loving the start of a new city. Couple of thoughts to riff off your ideas. Not so sure about metro over the river across the park. The idea that the Metro that serves the downtown doesn't cross the river has a real tone to it once the city has grown. The sort of thing where people are contemplating if they want to move that far into the suburbs because they'll have to change and get the tram/ferry/train because the subway won't go as far. (and a narrative for the redevelopment episodes where the subway does get extended allowing for urban sprawl to replace the suburbia). Also on the windfarm next to the bridge thing with the creation of artificial hills. Windfarms on hills is a big thing, maybe worth making more of a hill around there to make more of a deal around this is why we have a windfarm. A more pronounced hill with a windfarm then offers more of a barrier than just the highway for the community over the hill to feel different and distinct from Sheri and Scope.

Loving the series so far! This map reminds me a lot of the pacific northwest, especially with the climate and coastal mountain ranges. Maybe you could take some inspiration from Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver!

Loving the new series. I would suggest the benches opposite the little play area shud be turned to face the park. As I would assume parents wud use them to keep an eye on the kids while they grab a coffee😉😁

For Sherry town center, I feel it should be based around more modern asset as City Hall, with the town itself being Green cities. Maybe an older side around the tram depot if transit goes that direction, and a newer side centered around city hall?

Wonderful bulld!!! OE, i wouldnt be opposed to you addiing BOB to the build. Its still keeps the vanilla mechanics while you can manipulate the looks of assets. Just a tnought or many run a poll on it... Cheers!!!

I find the start of the city to be the most challenging and exciting part of a build. I'm trying something I've never done before, and building along. Not an exact copy, of course, but I'm going to try and match the design elements and progression. I'm curious to see how well I can blend elements of your build style with mine, particularly within the limitations of building on console.

The thing about the CS1 Quays I never liked was the lack of capping for the edges. They just start and end, there's no real visual indicator from a distance to say this is the end of it.

Here’s my Eggservations. *You said “Flesh it out” That always reminds me of Few Candy that’s one of the lines to look out for in Few Bingo. *Regarding the fallen log -the first one. They make great barriers or natural fencing on decorating in park or garden designs or dividers. *In regards to the “Palaven Pine” placement. Surely this calls out for it to be named Palaven park

Do trolleybuses as a main transport instead of trams! i feel like trams are overpowered and works too well lol, maybe trolleys are a bit more chalenging and will be nice to see them under your creativenes. Pheraps you can use trams in the downtown area idk

When you were putting the industry on the new zone you were keeping it off the road that ran along. Was that because you wanted the gap or were stopping buildings spawning along the road? You can do that now with the road zoning tool thingy, can't you?

Upkeep on tiles with nothing built in them should not exist. The city would not be paying anyone to even mow the grass in space no one is using. Instead, they should use an upkeep based on the percentage of use in each tile. So if you have one road running through a tile, you should only be paying like 1% upkeep
