Will this new community, and more endless streets of houses draw water from a over stressed situation? I hear lake Powell is not doing well at all, and I also hear the CO river is low too. I wonder what will happen to all the families and businesses that shut down and go belly up because of the near complete lack of water that is very soon to hit the entire phoenix valley. What will Scottsdsle golf clubs do without their miles of manicured green grass when the water runs out? Money money money, that’s all the towns think about. And you, you get the short end of the stick. I would seriously consider moving out of Arizona.

I grew up in Maryvale. That area is NOT Maryvale. The city is getting out of control. Too many people, not enough water. What happened to all the farms? Sad to see what's happening. So glad I moved out of there.

Lucky you… that’s camelback ranch area

Nether one of you know whats Maryville! First North of Camelback is Glendale, second Maryville goes to the end of Phoenix west. Between Tolleson, Avondale and Glendale and this development not going to do anything for Maryville! What happened to the farms, if a farmer sell his land outside of his family they loss irrigation rights in Maricopa County! Maricopa County is on a water management system for the benefit of development not farming.

This seems highly unsustainable with no sure sources of water and you can't tap the great lakes where we are sitting on top of the largest fresh water supply in the world. However for a monthly subscription fee I'll send you a different picture of the great lakes once per month.

And with water shortages is this a good idea?

The Colorado river by 2030 will be completely dry and it going to force everyone to move out the desert ! So many people coming moving here that it is using a lot of water that is a finite resource. California starting June 1st will let u water your grass 1 day a week and we are only in 2022 imagine how small lake mead will be in 2030

FIA. The Phoenix metro is growing at some 100,000+ per year so in 10 years we'll have 1 Million more people in the valley and we'll need more offices, restaurants and other businesses to meet that demand on top of new housing. This project will help meet those needs.
@MizzScentsational2 жыл бұрын
There is over 7 million people in Arizona as we speak. whats a million more added to the 4 million+ we have in the metropolitan area now? We can do it.

What a load of crap. Just because you have s bigger population does NOT mean they can afford any of this junk. The city of San Bernardino and Orange County both went bankrupt. Huge population increases, but also big jumps in poverty..

Hopefully they'll also widen Thomas and Indian School Roads to 6 lanes on both sides of the 101 to handle future traffic.

This development will not make Maryville anything like Tempe! Thats why the losser Coyotes Hockey Team is moving to Tempe. And this fool thinking they will get new places to eat thats not 45 minutes away is stupid. If the place you like to eat is 45 minutes away you will drive there and not down the street to some place you don't like.
