That's the thing about device, we always talk about s1mple/ZywOo hitting nutty flicks, but let's think about why they do that; they don't always position themselves perfectly, or react to the surroundings like device does. It isn't to say that device can't flick or s1mple/ZywOo don't have good positioning, they do have that. I've been watching CS since 2014 and in my opinion, device, s1mple and ZywOo are all tied up for the best player in the world, it's just that they are the best in different manners. s1mple and ZywOo are people's first choice because they produce some awe-inspiring rounds, but come to think of it; device produces awe-inspiring games! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think device has had the least bad games out of the three. device hasn't had a stellar period, he's had a stellar career. This also translates well into his games; he is not the flashiest player, producing flick after flick; he's just so good at positioning himself and holding certain angles that he hardly needs to flick! device doesn't have stellar rounds, he has stellar games.

Device definitely my favourite player, I need to watch more of his demos to get better as an AWPer. I just don't really know how to learn from watching demos, I feel like I'd need more information to learn why he's making each decision, like what they're saying in voice chat etc.

Standing close to the wall on b is a trade-off. Obviously, you show your body for longer time. But on the other side you have better cover from flashes (which lets you peek quicker after it pops, but also lets you get back to flash cover quicker). And lower b ALWAYS gets flashed. So it's fine to be close to the wall when playing antiflash and peeking as a reaction.
