The fatal flaw in this story is that it is very difficult for me to imagine any Earth man not wanting to be breeding stock for Patricia Laffan. Seriously?

Ah, the black leather clad Devil Girl Nyah and her walking refrigerator robot, with ray guns and cheesy flying saucer effects. A fairly fun popcorn B-movie. Patricia Laffan was spectacular in QUO VADIS (MGM, 1951) in lavish Technicolor, as Nero's wicked Empress Poppaea, but in this one, she chews up the scenery as well as Joan Crawford.

Despite its outrgeousness, everyone manages to pull this off by their sheer enthusiasm and sincerity. That's the great thing about these so-called 'cheesy' '50s sci-fi flicks -- you feel that the characters believe it and they make you believe it too, no matter how far out it is.

It's pretty much like a Theater Play. (Which I do enjoy). After all, movies inherited the spotlight of public entertainment from the theater. This flick would appeal to people then, and they would not have the same criticism as today's viewers. Kudos to the players.

Closer to "Bus Stop" than your typical science fiction movie. Beautifully photographed. Much, much more walking back and forth between spaceship and inn than strictly necessary. Something about the instability of "organic metal" should have been worked into the ending. Really nice explosion at the end.

Yeah, these old sci-fi flicks weren't into costumes, makeup, or even spacesuits. I saw one where Earth guys went to Mars and were walking around in coveralls, black military boots, and carrying rifles.

@@componenxactually the green slave girls in Star Trek they were the Masters😮 their men were the slaves and they were slave traders, the green women had a hypnotic affect on them the men had to do their bidding. It was explained on the TV series Enterprise, that's how I found out about it. 👽

I would have been two years old at the time this movie came out. I love the bit where the Mars lady fires her ray gun at the man and he is just left as a pair of glasses on the ground. If she wore those tights and those boots I'm sure loads of Earth men would willingly be her slave...she wouldnt need to control their minds.
