These old sci-fi movies are so great. Love them. Didn't see this one back then, nice to discover it now. My mother wouldn't have let me see it even if I had known about it. Such trauma wasn't good for young children, gave them nightmares and made them wet the bed. Monopoly was the most excitement she approved of, and that was stretching it because it involved greed and the love of money. I can't watch one of these movies without thinking about her. She was right about sci-fi films and about the board game.

Released in Europe in 1958, and in the USA English version in 1961. I saw it in the theater in 1961 at the Norwalk, California theater. They misspelled Mario Bava's name in the credits.

I really enjoyed this movie … it was quite suspenseful. People hung up on the inaccurate science …. It’s a scI- fi MOVIE from the 50s!
