It has nothing to do with RE engine tho, obviously, its scripted, and unlike Frostbite engine where destructible environment is its selling point, im a big fan of the game, but actually, this is the engine where you can find most air walls in any current gen games

You can also use Rainbow (Dropkick) to counter, though it is harder to pull off but is more satisfying to watch than a buster, also is very humiliating for Vergil, years of training and finally obtaining true power just to get dropkicked to the face by some kid.

PS. Before selecting Dante, hold L1+L2+R1+R2 together ,then press confirm, you can use Dante with hair cut. (M10 version.)

@@dade97asd96 necro-ing this almost a year later to say that after dante got his sin DT it became his canon devil trigger. mechanically you can still use your original DT but story wise the sin DT is his DT after that point. so it's likely the same with Virgil.

My PS4 already turns into a jet when I'm in cutscenes. In reality, DMC 5 had me to hard reset and initialize it and I had to reinstall the PS4 software afterward. I learned a valuable lesson, never plays the first playthrough in one day and reach till mission 12 of the second playthrough. I played for about 14 hours, obviously, I went to eat, bathroom but I didn't put the PS4 in rest mode or turned it off. I had a recent backup file to all my games aside from Red Dead 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3. I was too excited after 11 years since the DMC 4 release. Played until my hands fall.

@@Ratzmoonmopes Luckily it's starting of the Fall here and the temperatures are dropping quite nicely and my ps4 stays in a ventilated place and I clean every weekend. It's been quiet even during some cutscenes like Kingdom Hearts 3

There is a nero taunt where nero reload his gun by throwing bullet in the air and then spins to put inside the barrel . Just like dmc 4 where the first mission cutscene where he reload his guns.

I grabbed Vergil out of the air on my first playthrough. I figured it would be a lot like DMC4 where you can interrupt bosses with it or catch flying objects(Credo's spears).

All the stuff from DMC 4 went to DMC V like you can hold enemies with Devil Bringer (Credo's Shield) etc

Everything went to DMCV. Its basically one big fanservice game. - Patty and Morrison from the anime is there. - A helluva lot of callbacks to DMC1 and 3 that it'd take a while to list them down. - Hell, even DmC gets some in there, one of the enemies, I think the Antenoras? functions the same way as the chainsaw enemies in DmC. V is also drinking Virility in one of the photos that you get for finishing missions (after beating the game and replaying the missions). - For DMC4, well Nero and Kyrie's orphanage being in Fortuna, Credo gets a mention and some enemies are designed like those holy knights, Nico is the daughter of Agnus, etc. - I think the only one that gets the shaft is DMC2, but the novel alone makes up for that as the novel has Lucia in it. Also, the Sin Devil Trigger is pretty much Dante's Majin Form from DMC2.

Balrog punches can counter Vergil's Rapid Slash and combos as well. Also, you can deflect his summoned swords or dodge with Balrog boxing stance.

You also can destroy Vergil's summoned swords by spamming Devil Sword Dante's Four Arms (summoned swords)

you can even deflect the summoned sword by just jumping.... not the circling one where jumping will only makes them disappear... but the rain one (i did a double jump and as Dante is doing the flip in the double jump, the balrog shoes hit the raining sword and deflect them multiple times)

Those were really cool thanks for showing me Here’s one I found: If you reach SSS rank with Dante on the Vergil fight and Taunt him (The easiest way to get this high is to perfect guard the swords in the first phase and then have a little cerberus fun when you hit him) HE RESPONDS He has about 4 or 5 lines if I remember right

Also, if you pull in when the chicken starts to teleport, you'll follow through the portal alongside it, not breaking the flow of your combo. Easier to pull off with the Devil Bringer pull in since it's faster.

You can overture Goliath's charge to send him flying back. You can mash the buster button when doing a grab on certain enemies to add extra damage and animations.

Nero's Air Taunt is by far the best utility he has besides his triple jump, you can use it to dodge attacks or get to hard to reach places early game. Also it has an increased velocity compared to his normal jumps which can be put to good use for chasing down Artemis and other things

Nearly all the Buster upgrades Nero obtained in 4 are present for use in 5. He gets the ability to hold enemies up like a shield after defeating his adoptive brother.

william martins I just wish it was longer, like ten missions longer, felt like just when things really got going, it ended, also maybe a little more variety with the enemies and stage locations, you literally repeat each stage 3-4 times which isn’t good for a game with only what...20 missions? Also maybe a little more character interaction besides just the cutscenes.

@@ShiddyShad808 try to at least beat dante must die. this game has perfect length. you dont just repeat the game on higher difficulties, you are mastering every detail in every mission. there is enough time to spend if you want. 10 more missions oh boy, iam stuffed with just mission 18.

But trying to Melee, exceed, and devil knuckle at the same time is kinda rough~ ish. The timing for exceed is a lot easier in Dmc 5 than it was in Dmc 4 though

@@alexs.2774 it is rough, but such is life for the really technical players. Bringer knuckle has a load of combo potential because it changes or negates hit properties of some of neros moves.

@@akaru9532 You can even attack an enemy with roulette and knuckle them to stop them from flying back. It's pretty similar to Dante's etheral blades in that sense.

It is a great way to basically double on your attacks without moving your target all that much. For me though since I haven't had time to practice the timing for exceeds and devil knuckle, it's just awkward.

Some of Nero's busters can be exceeded for extra damage. For example the buster on Artemis and Malphas

Also if you taunt with any character in mid air you can gain a bit of height before doing an extra jump! It's more noticeable with nero really. And I didn't realise until the other day that dante can jump 3 times during DT as well as gaining a 4th jump while using trickster in DT as well! 😎 Oh and nero can now hold/snatch 2 enemies at a time in DT 💪🏾 Great video btw ☺

Didn't know Dante had a 4th jump in trickster DT. I always used the Nero air taunt to rev the sword, because I know the exceed timing on it, and it helps you stylishly get away from enemies.

3:25 Note to self: don't throw Goliath at the tower if you don't want your laptop bursting into flames. (I expect that this might happen, as my laptop barely passes the minimum requirement for the game, and FPS drops during cutscenes are frequent. Not as much during gameplay though, except for one prominent case in Mission 7 where V and Nero fight the Proto/Scudo Angelos for the first time - the first half ot the fight was done in sub-25 FPS)

if u use Neros devil bringer to hold an enemy and use as a shield, continue to hold the button and nero can grab another enemy and have 2 shields

@@Nero_PR not in DMC4 but due to the fact Nero's DT has 2 wing like arms, he can grab 2 enemies but if u let go of the button nero will only bust the first enemy u grab, only exception is against vergil boss fight when he brings out his doppleganger where Nero will bust both vergil and his clone's heads together

As shown by Sakaki in one of his videos titled 'Battle with Vergil+' you can hit Vergil out of his flight form with the right timing and attack as Dante as well.
