@@9etherman833Floyd beat naturally bigger guys all the time. The corner didn’t make adjustments; neither did Devin. Yes Ryan was bigger yet they decided to allow him to do it instead of fighting the alternate. The mistakes was Devin keeps his right hand too low. And moves it lower when he have and pulled out. His corner never told him this and he should of stayed boxing on the outside. Devin doesn’t do well in the inside. He’s a long range boxer. He would of won if he fought his fight regardless of his size He can bounce back. Stay doing what he does best and make adjustments.

Cotto did come back from the plaster beating, but it was plaster. Cotto got his lick back, too. Haney was beaten silly by a guy who didn't seem to take training or the fight all that seriously. If Ryan trains properly and doesn't fight like a moron, he probably stops Haney inside 4 rounds in a rematch. Haney better fight Sandor Martin, Richardson Hitchins and stop messing with punchers unless they are old and little.

Devin Haney accepted Ryan Garcia's check for the 3 lbs that he was overweight at the weigh in. The fact that he took the check and was willing to still fight Ryan, negates everything about weight. Most know that without a rehydration clause a fighter will come in heavy on fight night. The Haney's didn't add any stipulations to ensure an even playing field and underestimated Ryan Garcia. That's the truth of the matter. After all the crap they were talking about making Ryan quit boxing and the hurt that Devin would put on him and it backfired in their face.

🥊 Devon got hit with a hook and almost got slid at the on start of the fight,3lbs isn't what got his chin touched. Floyd,Manny,a few others i have to use these examples truthfully were always at weigh disadvantages.The stint over a camp,and there natural body makeup they weren't making the heavier weight classes really,they were always under.Bigger does not mean better,and putting everything on coaches,as a coach shows that Rell whom i respect missed the real reason Dev came up short.

It’s only non fighters and Dev haters that say the 3 pounds don’t matter. Ryan already spoke on it and said it was a strategic play. If the weight doesn’t matter where’s Ryan’s WBC belt for the win? If it’s only “3lbs” why Ryan couldn’t lose it? Ryan is bragging about strategically hitting 143 because if he would’ve came in under at 142 he would’ve been forced to lose the 2 pounds and if he came in at 145 or over the fight would’ve been off. Ryan finessed the Haney’s with money. Dev’s camp should’ve seen the play. FYI those last pounds is the water weight around your brain. It’s the last area to dehydrate and the last area to rehydrate.

But it was ok when Garcia went against Davis? Plus all this weight shit is all excuses. Roy jones said it best “I want my opponent coming in at their best, whatever weight that is” I’m not a fan of Garcia he lost plain and simple against Davis and beat Haneys ass, end of story. Stop trying to make excuses for grown ass man that willing got in the ring and wasn’t good enough to get out of the way of the big shots ala Mayweather.

@@user-tf3mu9bu2b Garcia honored the agreed upon contract weight fighting Tank. He later said he’ll never get tricked in negotiations like that again. Garcia didn’t honor the agreed upon contract weight with Haney instead he paid for an advantage and Haney’s inexperienced camp didn’t see the play. Oscar warned Garcia not to fight Tank on those terms. Oscar also more than likely advised Garcia on how to get an advantage on Haney. You have never cut weight before. The last few pounds is water weight from the brain. The brain is the last area to dehydrate and last area to rehydrate that’s why it’s very important to do it properly. Garcia didn’t have to put his body through that where’s Haney did. I’ll admit Haney chasing undisputed and depleting himself to fight at the lower weight classes is catching up to him and bringing back deminishing returns he should’ve been moved up it’s part of the reason people think he’s pillow fisted and can’t take a punch. Much of the weight put on during rehydration is just water weight not solid muscle. The smaller fighters that don’t have to drain as much are actually stronger than Haney at those weights but Haney has just enough to edge them out. He needs to move to 147 and get acclimated to the weight he’d fair out way better.
@rbtheballer
@rbtheballer Ай бұрын
@@Tay_BigANG Exactly. Sad people have more hate for a particular fighter than love for the sport. I respect Haney following the rules making weight putting his belt on the line. If his camp wasn’t so GREEN they would’ve seen the play and the bs Ryan was on but it’s all good love and you learn. I guarantee fighters are going to remember this and won’t let this play get ran again.

People are ALWAYS going to complain about something and favor their boxer with excuses but it doesn’t change that :Ryan is the better fighter no matter what the weight ….
