Devon acts like a bully to promote the sport and get attention. Drama gets more attention and eyeballs on arm wrestling. Devon is being himself in this video, he seems like a nice guy.

@@wingzero7316 Devon's fans usually tell me that i hate Devon... I don't hate the man behind the mask... I don't like his character, i don't like the drama. I don't like how his community gets inspired by the character...
@wingzero731624 күн бұрын
@@eddie0Fll Than what Devon does to gain attention to arm wrestling works, you talking about it. I have met devon a couple times, he is a nice person. Look at him like a WWE character, people pay more attention to wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and etc, the quiet wrestlers are much less famious and offten find themselves out of a job. Arm Wrestling isn't a mainstream sport and Devon trying to get more people to watch and participate in it. Devon is a major reason why arm wrestling has grown in popularity compared to where it was a decade and more ago.
@wingzero731624 күн бұрын
@@eddie0Fll Devon skill as an arm wrestler and passion for the sport is what inspires people. His fans understand the character he plays and it meant for entertainment. It brings eyes 👀 to the sport. I think Devon would have been a great WWE wrestler.

I don’t understand the folks who hate Devon. He’s an OG, one of the best and most successful of all time, the most well known arm wrestler, and the nicest guy. Levon knows this and gives respect. You should too.

Some people don't understand or appreciate his flair and energy. Devon understands this is entertainment so he tries to make it as entertaining as possible... all the trash talk and mind games, mostly just for fans and his opponents understand that... but some fans can't take it or think he's being a jerk. Can't win over everybody, oh well.
@haagenneldeberg678724 күн бұрын
To be fair he has being acting suspiciously nice for a little while. 😄 And if you are a new fan of Devon, you might not have seen the bad side of Devon. Even outside of his "trash talking" that goes far beyond what is acceptable. Or his cheats at the table. He's the dirtiest player in the game. He can be extremely manipulative. Sometimes sending his fan army out on his behalf to harass fellow armwrestlers. But maybe he has gotten nicer with time
@GrannySoupLadle24 күн бұрын
Ive never had a problem with Devon other than how he dealt with Ryan Espey. He crashed a nationals just for ego, ruined the brackets for people who trained all year, and then his behavior towards Ryan while he was sitting with his family… none of it rubbed me the right way. He apologized though, but the weirdo fans still think its okay to bully people in front of their kids. Its really the fangirls that we hate.

And i wanna say that Devon is one of the greatest athletes that the sport has ever got. Ofc one of the most relevant. But in terms of greatest of all times, John surpasses him. Because who has dominated for most time?? John for sure. He had 25 years of carrier (until the problem at his right shoulder in 2010 - 2009) where he was the most dominant. Devon dominated for like 12 years if you want to include that kingsmove period after the elbow surgery (which was pretty crappy).

There is only one option from what I heard and it is a hip replacement, so there is no chance Denis can pull in a few months time , rehab itself will take 2-3 months and then preparation, so in ideal circumstances 6-8 months

@d_no_allyn_8624 күн бұрын
I would agree with you but I feel kind of like there's such history and rivalry there it makes it more interesting than pulling Levan for me. Maybe the first match a little bit but I couldn't really get super excited for devon vs levan. Other than the fact that he's getting a chance at the number 1 in the world.. they don't really have a true rivalry.
@georgepoly484224 күн бұрын
Yeah, with his frame he needs to be starved to make 105 and most people don’t really care because we know he’s going to kill all those guys. Atleast once he realizes there’s no challenge eat those divisions he’ll come back up like he did after the first Levan match. Would love to seen a genadi rematch.
